Yamoh

Yamoh is a small man with reptilian features, based on a gecko.

He has silver hair styled in curled ringlets, large purple eyes, and a delicate face.

He wears a black silk top hat, a long brown coat, a black bow tie, and red pants—like a strange gentleman from another world.

He walks on two legs like a human but retains obvious lizard traits.

Yamoh speaks politely and uses respectful language, but he is very cautious and rarely believes what his subordinates say.

He appears humble but can turn vicious and cruel, especially when disappointed by his team.

He sees “useless subordinates” as worthless and shows little interest if they fail or die.

He is easily worried, especially when Dokurokushe is at risk, and can panic if his master suffers setbacks.

Despite this, his loyalty to Dokurokushe is extremely strong and genuine.

Yamoh sometimes abuses his master’s name to keep others in line, threatening or lying about Dokurokushe’s orders.

Still, he is always devoted and never truly disloyal.

Yamoh was created from a gecko by Dokurokushe, the dark magician.

He is the highest-ranking servant among Dokurokushe’s followers and acts as the main voice of authority since only Yamoh can sense Dokurokushe’s true will.

Most of the time, he stays in the hideout and rarely meets the Precure directly.

He has a lot of knowledge about ancient secrets in the Magic World and quickly realizes important developments, like the appearance of Linkle Smartone.

Among the dark magicians, only Yamoh knows Dokurokushe’s true form is the leftover will of Kushi.

He keeps this secret because revealing Dokurokushe’s human roots could ruin group morale.

He worries that revealing how Dokurokushe is only a fragile spirit using lots of magic to maintain a body would damage his master’s honor.

Yamoh even stops other members from speaking with Dokurokushe, hoping to protect these secrets.

This only makes the others more suspicious of him, and at one point, Batty doubts whether Dokurokushe even exists or if Yamoh is making it all up.

Yamoh can use a big cauldron to search for the location and time when a Linkle Stone will appear.

He can find out the general place and time, but not the exact type of stone.

Despite not being always specific, his predictions never fail.

He can instantly travel using dark magic circles to deliver Dokurokushe’s orders to the other generals.

Yamoh can also cut off his own tail to escape, a special lizard-style secret move called “Tail Shedding.”

He usually does not fight on the battlefield and doesn’t have a magic wand, claiming that he could only fight ordinary magicians if they are weak from using too much magic.

“My words are Dokurokushe’s words. Disobeying is not allowed!”

“I… I want Dokurokushe’s power too…”

“Wha…what am I…?”

“Dokurokushe, look! I’ll paint the sky and land in darkness!”

“Dokurokusheeee!!!!”

“I’ll use all my strength to defeat Precure…”

“Dokurokushe, please lend me your power!”

“I, Yamoh, the loyal servant of the great dark magician Dokurokushe…”

Loyal Servant and Master’s Worries

Yamoh spends most of his time with Dokurokushe in the main hideout, rarely joining battles directly.

He is tasked with giving orders to the other generals and is the only one who can sense Dokurokushe’s will.

He often acts superior, keeping secrets and smirking to himself, making the others distrust him.

Yamoh is very suspicious and never easily trusts reports from subordinates.

Knowing Dokurokushe’s Secret

Yamoh knows that Dokurokushe is Kushi’s lingering spirit changed by dark magic but keeps this a secret from others.

He is loyal only to Dokurokushe’s dark spirit, not to Kushi as a human.

He fears that if the others learn the truth, they will stop respecting their master.

Yamoh also knows Dokurokushe must use a lot of magic energy to even stay in the world; if exposed, this would hurt Dokurokushe’s image.

Direct Actions and Downfall

In Episode 21, Yamoh decides to give his own power to Dokurokushe in a final act of loyalty.

The Headmaster and Mofurun try to stop him, but Yamoh escapes by using “Tail Shedding” and lets himself be absorbed into Dokurokushe.

He is happy to become one with his beloved master.

After Precure defeats Dokurokushe, Ha-chan’s Emerald light purifies both Dokurokushe and Yamoh, erasing them from existence—except for Yamoh’s leftover tail.

Rebirth and Revenge

In Episode 22, Yamoh comes back to life from his tail, thanks to Labut’s power of “Muho.”

Now, he inherits much more powerful dark magic and his look is changed, taller with straight hair and more ragged clothes, like a fallen noble.

Yamoh swears revenge on Precure and tries to use Dokurokushe’s bones to summon giant monsters and cover the world in darkness.

He even makes a scarecrow of Dokurokushe to worship, talking to it and imagining it answers him, showing both his deep devotion and madness.

Super Yokubaru Form

When pushed to the edge in Episode 26, with only one bone left, Yamoh fuses with the bone and a bug cage, changing into a monstrous Super Yokubaru form.

He tries to trap Ha-chan and the Linkle Emerald just as Dokurokushe did before.

Yamoh almost wins, boasting to Dokurokushe that he will paint the whole world in darkness.

However, the three Precure work together, free Ha-chan, and turn the battle.

Yamoh is finally purified by Cure Felice, returning to a regular gecko.

Even then, he crawls back to the Dokurokushe scarecrow, still loyal even with no memories left.

His lonely end touched some fans deeply.

After Dokurokushe’s Fall

After Yamoh’s defeat, the dark witch forces are completely destroyed.

He was brought back to life only because Labut wanted to test Precure’s strength, and after serving this purpose, was discarded easily.

Later, Orba revives some old servants but not Yamoh.

Sparda helps revive Batty and Gamets as they are more useful fighters, while Yamoh is ignored.

Final Appearance

In the last episodes, Batty finds a scarecrow with a gecko on his shoulder (a sign of Yamoh’s loyalty) and uses it along with other animals to make a powerful monster that finally defeats one of Orba’s creations.

After the fight, the scarecrow vanishes, while the gecko (Yamoh) quietly leaves with the other animals.

It is unclear why the gecko and scarecrow appeared, but it inspired Batty to fight on.

True Resolution

In Episode 50, after Dokuro Mushii is created—a being with Dokurokushe’s traits—the gecko reacts and transforms back into Yamoh.

He now follows Dokuro Mushii as his lord, and after Dokuro Mushii is healed of his darkness, Yamoh thanks Precure for not destroying him.

He refuses their offer to join the Magic School, saying his only wish is to serve his master.

This time, Yamoh no longer has hatred for Precure and seems content just to be at his master’s side.

He even sneaks into the Headmaster’s room to give Dokuro Mushii a frozen mandarin orange.

MIRAIDAYS Appearance

In Witchy Precure!! ~MIRAIDAYS~, Yamoh appears in both the opening and ending.

He responds to Batty’s call to help fight Chronoust, agreeing because he is angry that someone misused dark magic.

He revives Sparda and Gamets to fight, but is turned into a past-era stone statue.

When released, he helps Precure by sending them to the in-between world, but later betrays them, asking Chronoust to let him stay in the past with Dokurokushe.

Chronoust refuses and turns him to stone again.

Once Chronoust is defeated, Yamoh returns to normal and is seen living as before.

He is recruited by Gustav to help make scarecrows.

Dokurokushe

Yamoh is absolutely loyal to Dokurokushe, serving him above all, even abusing his name or risking everything for him.

He cares less about the master’s ideals and more about Dokurokushe himself.

Batty, Sparda, Gamets

Yamoh treats the other generals coldly and is mistrusted by them.

He especially looks down on their failures and will lie or threaten them.

Ha-chan, Mirai Asahina, Liko Izayoi, Mofurun

Yamoh views them as enemies—he is furious when Precure defeat Dokurokushe and only seeks revenge.

Yamoh’s name combines “yamori” (gecko) and “yabou” (ambition).

He was revived to serve as the last obstacle between the end of Dokurokushe’s arc and the new, stronger enemies.

His different rebirths are due to being revived by different types of magic.

His final fate is unusual: in the very end, he finds happiness being with his master, instead of chasing darkness or fighting.

Yamoh does not have clear data for height, weight, blood type, birthday, or age.
