Mofurun

Mofurun is a teddy bear with a soft, fluffy body.

She has a big pink ribbon on her neck, making her look extra cute.

After gaining magical powers, her eye color changes from black to blue.

She gets star-shaped marks on her ears, with a pink heart on the left hand and purple on the right.

A crystal part is added to her ribbon to let her hold Linkle Stones, magical jewels.

Mofurun is gentle, calm, and very thoughtful.

She is always polite and cheerful, usually ending her sentences with “-mofu.”

She is not selfish or mischievous and is a great listener.

Mofurun loves making those around her happy and often gives helpful advice.

Although she sometimes acts on her own if her heart is set on something, she is always quick to admit her mistakes and apologize.

She is very close to Mirai and supports her through joy and trouble.

Mofurun was given to Mirai by her grandmother, Kanoko Yuki, when Mirai was very young.

She has been with Mirai since the day she was born and was always her greatest treasure and friend.

Even before she could move or speak, Mofurun had feelings and wanted to talk to Mirai.

She first comes to life when Mirai and Liko become Witchy Precure through the power of the Linkle Stone Diamond.

Mofurun can talk and move after gaining magical power.

She can sense the presence of magical items and people, describing it as a “sweet smell.”

She acts as both a magical partner and a transformation item for the Precure.

Mirai and Liko transform into Witchy Precure by holding Mofurun’s hands and fitting the Linkle Stones into her ribbon.

Her stomach lights up with a colored heart when they transform.

She cannot use a magic wand herself, nor can she float, so she moves by walking or being carried.

Mofurun is Mirai Asahina’s special friend and always stays by her side.

She is also close with Liko Izayoi and Ha-chan.

Mofurun becomes friends with other magical partners like Chikurun.

This surprises Liko, as it’s supposed to be impossible to give life to non-living things with magic.

Mofurun herself does not understand why she can move, but she is happy to finally talk with Mirai.

School Adventure

Mofurun dreams of going to school with Mirai.

In episode 11, she sneaks into Mirai’s school bag with Ha-chan.

Although she causes some trouble and gets Mirai into a small crisis, her bravery in saving the Linkle Stone from Gamets is recognized.

After this, Mirai allows her to come to school when needed, as long as she stays hidden.

Magical Abilities and Transformation

Mofurun is the upgrade for the transformation item in "Witchy Precure!"

By fitting the Linkle Stones in her ribbon and joining hands with Mirai and Liko, she lets them transform into Precure.

A colored heart shows on her tummy matching the power of the stone.

Cinderella Dream

In episode 29, Mofurun enters a dream where she becomes “Cinderellamofu.”

She experiences an adventure similar to Cinderella, facing a mean family but getting help from Mirai and Liko.

She dances with the prince at the ball and beats a bad witch, finally returning to her own world.

Afterward, she notices the Cinderella storybook has changed, showing her as a magical girl who helps others.

Brave Moments and Challenges

Because she becomes able to eat when alive, she enjoys treats like frozen oranges, cookies, and strawberry melon bread.

Even though she is a key part of the Precure transformation, she sometimes feels sad because she can’t help directly in battles.

She stays positive so as not to worry others.

Separation and Reunion

In episode 49, after defeating Deusmast, Mofurun returns to the human world with Mirai, but when they are separated from Liko, she stops moving again.

Later, when Mirai and Liko reunite thanks to a grand magical spell, Mofurun comes to life once more.

Movie Highlight: Cure Mofurun

In the movie, thanks to the power of the Wishing Stone, Mofurun gets a chance to transform into Precure herself as Cure Mofurun.

She wears pants, which is special because she has no set gender, making her unique among Precure.

Mofurun has no official gender, as she used to be a plush toy.

Her voice became popular, and she won 1st place in the Character Category of the 2019 NHK All Precure Poll.

The toy versions of Mofurun have been released in many styles, including as a talk-and-transform plush and a giant plush for fans.

In 2024, a new version "Talking Transform Mofurun!!" will be released.
