Poporon

Poporon is a pretty girl with blonde hair and green eyes.

She is 156 cm tall.

Her birthday is April 20.

Even though Poporon looks gentle and cute, she actually has a very dark and scheming side.

She is smart, talks harshly about others, and always puts herself first.

She believes devils are “inferior beings with no value,” and thinks most humans are selfish and not worth saving.

Poporon is not above refusing to help someone, even a drowning child, if there’s nothing in it for her.

She can be cowardly and sly—she tries to flatter and escape when things go bad.

Despite all that, sometimes she shows she cares, like helping pay for Pekola’s hospital bills or raising money for kids in need.

Pekola says Poporon was not always this mean, and she used to be gentler in the past.

Poporon used to serve Pekola in Heaven as her assistant.

She came to Earth with a plan to defeat Pekola and take her place as leader of the angels.

However, her plan failed when Jashin-chan interfered.

Poporon is clever and skilled, performing better than Pekola in many ways.

She can use weapons like a metal bat, rocket launcher, and bow and arrow.

Even though her power is not strong in direct fights, in the game “Waki Ai Ai Satsubatsu Battle,” she can heal teammates and put up barriers that protect everyone.

She loses most of her powers when her angel halo is taken.

• Pekola: Was her boss. Poporon often mocks Pekola’s seriousness and lack of skill but still helps her at times.
• Jashin-chan: Enemy at first. Jashin-chan beats her up twice and even eats her halo.
• Persephone II: Poporon pretends to be friends with her, planning to defeat her for promotion someday, but grows more caring as they become close.
• Pino: Was her classmate during angel training days but they do not get along.

Arriving on Earth

Poporon comes to the human world to defeat Pekola and earn a higher rank in Heaven.

She humiliates Pekola but is interrupted by Jashin-chan, who punishes her for wasting food.

Fighting Jashin-chan

After losing her first fight and being thrown into the sea, Poporon survives and tries to get revenge on Jashin-chan.

She is defeated again, loses her halo, and becomes powerless.

New Life as Noelle Amatsuka

Without her halo, Poporon starts living and working in a ramen shop called “Genesis.”

She works as a live-in waitress and also becomes an idol, using the name Noelle Amatsuka.

She is popular at the shop and as an idol because she acts super cute outside, hiding her true nature.

Making Friends and Changing

Poporon eventually becomes friendlier with Pekola and even with devils.

She invites Persephone II to her live shows and jokes about defeating her but clearly grows fond of her.

Now, together with Pekola, she is wanted as a traitor by Heaven.

Other Story Details

The man who hates Poporon and hurt Pekola comes back later, causing trouble on a train.

Jashin-chan punishes him for his actions.

Poporon is often called weak, as she has lost to Jashin-chan twice even while still having her halo, making her one of the weakest in the story until Ecute appears.

Even though Poporon looks super innocent, she can act sweet and hide her real self really well.

She is known as a signboard girl in the ramen shop and is very popular as an idol.

Her bad attitude has softened a lot since her first appearance.

She has used many strange weapons, including metal bats filled with spikes in the anime.

In the game, Poporon is great for helping the team because she can heal and protect everyone with her special barrier move.

• She often mocks Pekola’s struggles in a playful way but sometimes shows kindness when Pekola is feeling down.
