Ecute realizes how serious this is and, as punishment, undergoes “cutting off a finger” under Atre’s orders.

Vampires in the demon world have a bad reputation, with even kind-hearted Medusa calling them dangerous or evil, and they are seen as the “mafia” among demons.
Still, Ecute believes vampires are a necessary evil who keep troublemakers from causing problems for other demons.
