Broly

Broly is very tall, over 2 meters, and has a muscular body like a pro wrestler.

His usual outfit is unique: he goes shirtless with a golden belt, red sash, white pants, and wears gold bracelets, choker, and earrings.

He starts with a circlet device on his forehead—a control device from his father, Paragus.

In his Legendary Super Saiyan form, Broly’s muscles become even larger, his hair turns golden green, his eyes become white, and his body grows closer to 3 meters.

He can look gentle and shy in his normal state, but his Legendary form is terrifying and wild.

When young, and as Bio-Broly (his clone), he has a tail. It is usually hidden by his waistcloth.

In his normal state, Broly appears quiet and reserved, even polite and gentle.

Under control, he speaks softly and uses respectful language.

However, once enraged or freed from control, Broly becomes a battle maniac—filled with anger, destruction, and violence.

He loves to fight and revels in being called a "devil."

After awakening as the Legendary Super Saiyan, he loses his self-control, acting out pure rage and cruelty, enjoying inflicting pain.

Broly is obsessed with Kakarot (Goku), holding a deep grudge because of Goku’s crying as a baby.

He loses rational speech in his 2nd movie appearance, shouting "Kakarot!" over and over.

Broly was born in Age 737—the same year as Goku.

His power level at birth was over 10,000, an outrageous number that scared King Vegeta.

Fearing that Broly would threaten the royal family, King Vegeta had infant Broly and his father, Paragus, sent away.

When Freeza destroyed Planet Vegeta, Broly barely survived by awakening his hidden power and fleeing with Paragus.

As a child, Broly became a Super Saiyan from sadness (not rage), but Paragus, afraid of his son's incredible power, used a control device to suppress him.

Years later, Paragus lured Prince Vegeta and the others to a new planet to use Broly as a weapon for revenge on Vegeta.

Broly met Goku there. The sight of Kakarot reawakened his buried hatred and triggered his legendary transformation.

Broly is a Saiyan with unmatched raw power, even as a baby.

He can transform into various forms, including Super Saiyan and Legendary Super Saiyan.

His strength is so incredible he could destroy whole star systems and planets with ease.

He takes almost no damage from even direct hits, including Kamehameha waves at close range.

Broly’s stamina is unlimited—his power keeps rising ("My energy is increasing... overflowing!")

He shows high battle smarts: using bait, targeting the weak, and eliminating threats strategically (such as killing Paragus before he could escape).

As the Legendary Super Saiyan, he shrugs off team attacks and dominates multiple Z Fighters at once.

Paragus (Father)

Paragus is Broly’s father, but he mostly uses Broly for his power and controls him with the device.

Broly admired Paragus but could no longer control himself after transforming, killing his own father in rage.

Goku (Kakarot)

Goku is Broly’s main target and obsession.

Broly hates Goku due to being annoyed by Goku’s crying as an infant.

In later films, Broly becomes more like a vengeance-driven monster, only able to say "Kakarot."

Vegeta

King Vegeta exiled Broly out of fear.

Prince Vegeta is both a target and sometimes an ally, but always wary of Broly’s power.

"Kakarot... I'll make you bleed first..."

"My power is increasing... overflowing...!!"

"I'm not a monster? ...No, I'm a devil!"

"What does 'holding back' mean?"

"What a waste... I’ll put you out of your misery now."

First Movie: "Burn Up!! A Close, Intense, Super Fierce Battle"

Broly first appears, controlled by his father, Paragus, and destroys the South Galaxy on Paragus's orders.

He is introduced to Prince Vegeta on New Planet Vegeta while his powers are kept quiet.

After meeting Kakarot (Goku), his true nature awakens, breaking free from control and transforming into the Legendary Super Saiyan.

Broly dominates Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Trunks, Gohan, and others for nearly 20 minutes, showing his unbeatable strength.

He is finally beaten when the Z Fighters lend energy to Goku, who lands a powerful punch during the dying planet's chaos.

Second Movie: "A Dangerous Pair! Super Warriors Never Rest"

Thought dead after the planet’s destruction, Broly survives and crashes on Earth, frozen in a glacier.

He is reawakened 7 years later by Goten, who looks and cries like Goku.

Broly, driven by pure vengeance for his earlier defeat, is stronger than before.

He easily overwhelms Goten, Trunks, and even Gohan, who is considered "beyond Super Saiyan" at this time.

In the climax, Broly launches a giant energy ball, but Goku, Goten, and Gohan combine their powers for a triple Kamehameha, finally pushing Broly into the sun and erasing him.

Third Movie: "Super Warrior Defeat!! I'll Be The Winner"

Broly returns as "Bio-Broly," a gooey clone made from his blood.

Bio-Broly is hideous and powerful, taking on Goten, Trunks, and Jinzouningen 18-gou.

He grows huge but is stopped when seawater hardens the bio-liquid.

Trunks and Goten blast him, shattering him for good.

It is revealed at the end that the real Broly is still causing chaos in the afterlife.

Fourth Movie: "Dragon Ball Super: Broly"

A new version of Broly is introduced in the "Dragon Ball Super" era, with story and designs by original creator Akira Toriyama.

This film is a reboot and not tied to the original three movies.

It explores Broly’s origins, relationship with Paragus, and new battles with Goku, Vegeta, and Freeza.

Broly’s design and personality are also more developed.
