Luck is a smiling battle maniac who lives for life-or-death, blood-soaked fights against strong opponents.

Despite his small build and boyish face, he constantly seeks out powerful enemies and challenges them without hesitation.

He is considered very handsome, with blue eyes and golden hair, but his wild grin in combat gives him a dangerous aura.

During the Magic Knights entrance exam, he brutally overpowered his opponent far beyond what was necessary, earning the nickname "Luck the Cheerful" for his crazed joy in battle.

He loves provoking Magna Swing on purpose so they can fight, often picking needless quarrels for fun.

However, underneath this, he genuinely treasures Magna as his "very first friend" and had a hunch from the start that Magna would become a dangerous (and therefore interesting) fighter.

At first, Luck was extremely self-centered in combat, ignoring coordination and charging in alone.

After being saved by Asta and Noelle Silva during the Dungeon mission, he began to develop team spirit and learned to fight alongside others.

He is normally all smiles, even under abuse or danger, but his emotional walls crack after the Elf Reincarnation incident.

When Asta frees him from possession, Luck breaks down crying, dropping his trademark battle-happy smile and revealing his deep emotional scars and attachment to his friends.

Even so, his core nature as a combat junkie never disappears: he instinctively seeks tougher and tougher opponents.

Yet his experiences with the Black Bulls gradually shift his obsession from "winning alone" to "becoming stronger together with his comrades."

As a child, Luck was not very capable compared to other kids and was constantly scolded by his hysterical mother.

He never cried or got angry, always keeping a smile no matter how badly he was treated, which further irritated her.

Over time, his magic power grew, and he began defeating noble children who were supposed to be superior to commoners in magic.

When he started winning, his mother suddenly changed and began praising him, which made him equate "victory" with "being loved."

From then on, Luck became obsessed with fighting and winning alone so that his mother would keep praising him.

Even after his mother's sudden death, this belief remained like a curse: he vowed to continue dedicating his victories to her.

This twisted mindset pushed him toward reckless, solitary combat and a near-pathological fixation on victory.

Right before being freed from Elf possession, he sees a vision of his mother but chooses to turn away from her and runs toward the hands of his comrades instead.

In that moment, he symbolically lets go of the "curse" of his mother's words and accepts the warmth of his Black Bulls family.

He even mentally thanks his mother and says goodbye, moving on with his life as someone who fights for more than just lonely victories.

Luck is a member of the Black Bulls, one of the most notorious squads in the Clover Kingdom.

Although he joined as a reckless solo fighter, he gradually becomes one of the squad’s most reliable front-line attackers.

He admires Yami Sukehiro, the Black Bulls’ captain, who recognizes Luck’s talent but jokes that if not for his broken personality, any squad would have fought to recruit him.

Yami later personally recommends Luck to train under Gadjah, the leader of the Spirit Guardians of the Heart Kingdom.

Luck dotes on his Black Bulls comrades in his own strange way—by wanting to spar or drag them into dangerous fun.

During the Royal Knights selection exam, when Finral Roulacase is nearly killed by Langris Vaude, Luck is filled with genuine rage.

During the early Dungeon exploration, Luck accompanies Asta and Noelle.

Underwater Temple Battle

During the Underwater Temple arc, Luck instantly defeats one of the enemies as soon as the fighting starts.

He then fights alongside Magna against the Temple mage Gio in a coordinated battle.

The situation worsens when Vetto, a member of the Eye of the Midnight Sun’s Third Eye, storms in and devastates the battlefield.

Luck is struck by one of Vetto’s attacks and gravely injured.

Despite his injuries, Luck and Magna, inspired by Yami’s words and their responsibility as seniors to Asta, stand up to challenge Vetto again.

They fight bravely and put up a good struggle, but ultimately they are defeated by Vetto’s overwhelming power.

Royal Knights Selection Exam

In the Royal Knights selection exam, Luck is assigned to a team with Klaus Lunettes and a mage named Puli (also rendered as Puli).

In the first round, they win through effective team play, showcasing how far Luck has come from his early solo-only style.

In the second round, they face the team led by Rill Boismortier, captain of the Aqua Deer.

They attempt a powerful combined magic attack, but Rill counters them and they suffer defeat.

Later, when Langris attempts to kill Finral, Luck joins Asta and Magna to stop him with lethal intent in their eyes.

This incident highlights Luck's fierce protectiveness of his friends and his willingness to turn his bloodlust on anyone who harms them.

Despite his earlier defeat, Luck is selected as a Royal Knight and joins the assault on the Eye of the Midnight Sun's hideout.

Elf Reincarnation and Possession by Lufulu

During the raid on the Eye’s base, the Elf Reincarnation magic activates, and Luck’s body is taken over by an elf named Lufulu.

Under Lufulu’s control, Luck attacks Noelle and the others with terrifying speed and power.

After Noelle and her allies escape, Lufulu-controlled Luck attacks a town in the common realm.

There, he encounters Magna and Vanessa Enoteca, who rush in to stop him.

Lufulu-Luck easily overwhelms them at first, not understanding Magna’s personality or habits the way the real Luck does.

This ignorance creates an opening, and Magna and Vanessa manage to restrain him using their teamwork and mana control.

However, Lufulu then massively boosts his magic power, breaks free from their bindings, and corners them again.

At this point, Asta arrives, and together the three fight a grueling battle against their possessed comrade.

Even after being beaten down, Lufulu refuses to give up and starts to transform into something even more monstrous.

Asta uses his Anti-Magic and his words to reach the real Luck buried inside the elf’s soul.

Hearing Asta, Luck’s true consciousness surfaces, and Lufulu admits, "I wanted to become friends with humans like you."

Asta’s Anti-Magic sword then cancels the reincarnation magic, freeing Luck and returning his body to normal.

After being freed, Luck finally breaks down crying, shedding his usual battle-crazy grin.

Magna hugs him tightly, telling him that of course they care about him, and this emotional scene cements their brother-like bond.

Later, Luck manages to recreate, from memory, the mana sensation and power he wielded while possessed by Lufulu.

This shows his terrifying talent for sensing and reproducing powerful magic states.

Heart Kingdom Training and True Lightning Magic

Following the resolution of the Elf incident, the Clover Kingdom begins investigating the Devils and the Dark Triad of the Spade Kingdom.

Luck witnesses Zenon Zogratis annihilating Diamond Kingdom mages and, for once, admits, "I don't want to fight that guy," effectively conceding without even entering battle.

Later, Luck participates in a large-scale training plan proposed by Lolopechka, queen of the Heart Kingdom.

He trains under Gadjah, the leader of the Spirit Guardians and a fellow lightning mage.

Gadjah praises Luck’s natural talent, acknowledging that he has outstanding "sense" for magic.

Most impressively, Luck learns True Lightning Magic—a technique that took Gadjah two years to master—in just about half a year, even if the fine-tuning is not fully explained.

When Vanica Zogratis of the Dark Triad attacks the Heart Kingdom with six of her Dark Disciples, Luck fights the Disciple Svenkin.

At first, Svenkin’s magic completely outmatches Luck, and he is dominated in close combat.

Remembering Gadjah’s teachings about mana words and how to best use his own strengths, Luck adapts mid-battle.

He activates True Lightning Magic and uses the mana method to enhance his speed and power.

He finally defeats Svenkin with his True Lightning Magic spell "Keraunos", piercing his opponent like a lightning arrow.

However, Vanica’s curse magic revives Svenkin, and Luck must continue fighting.

Vanica then whimsically triggers a massive curse explosion as she abducts Lolopechka.

Luck is caught in the blast and severely injured, but he barely survives.

Afterward, hearing Noelle’s renewed determination, Luck also resolves to become even stronger.

He goes to the elves’ hidden village and begins training to learn Ultimate Magic, an advanced and devastating magic style.

Return to Battle in the Spade Kingdom

Once his training with Ultimate Magic advances, Luck and others who trained in the Heart Kingdom head to the Spade Kingdom’s battlefield.

He immediately wipes out hordes of lower-ranked devils with ease.

He then encounters several mid-ranked devils, far stronger than the lower ones.

Using his newly learned Lightning Ultimate Magic, Luck obliterates multiple mid-ranked devils in an instant.

While moving through the battlefield, he senses Magna’s mana and reunites with Magna, Asta, and the others.

Together with Asta and Gadjah, he clears enemy soldiers around Noelle, carving open a path so she can advance toward her crucial confrontation.

Afterward, Luck fights alongside more Black Bulls members as they push forward to rescue Yami Sukehiro and confront the Dark Triad.

Dorothy’s Dream World and Lufulu Experience

After being freed from Elf possession, Luck retains the sensation of sharing his body with Lufulu.

Later, when Dorothy Unsworth has been reincarnated with an elf named Reve, her magic drags Luck, Magna, Vanessa, Charmy Pappitson, and Sally into her dream world "Glamour World."

In that surreal dimension, Luck proposes a clever escape tactic based on his knowledge of shared consciousness.

He suggests making Reve think of the real Dorothy Unsworth, forcing that image into the dream to destabilize the space.
