Saima Nakano

Saima Nakano hails from Saitama Prefecture, Japan. She is the second daughter in a family with Egyptian, Indian, and Japanese mixed heritage, which gives her a distinct and captivating identity.

She began her artistic journey by joining a theater troupe during her elementary school years. Cultivating an interest in voice performance, she went on to study at Yoyogi Animation Academy’s Tokyo main campus in the anime song course.

Saima’s career took off astonishingly early, landing her debut as the heroine Satou in the anime "Ishida to Asakura" in her very first year at academy.

During her student days, she joined Sony Music Artists, further expanding her scope by performing at anime events across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Malaysia, where she also showcased her singing talents.

She gained attention for her role as Iwagami Shouko in "Aquarion Logos," even performing insert songs for the series’ second cour.

In 2018, Saima left Sony Music Artists, and in 2019, she became a talent of Stay Luck.

Her anime credits are extensive, often playing multiple roles in a single show, ranging from adorable kids to brave heroines and quirky sidekicks. Notable titles include "Welcome to the Classroom of the Elite," "SPY×FAMILY," "Tokyo Revengers," "The Apothecary Diaries," and "Aquarion Logos."

She’s also a familiar voice in video games like "Heaven Burns Red," "Arknights," "Princess Connect! Re:Dive," "Yakuza: Like a Dragon," and "Final Fantasy XVI."

Saima has contributed extensively to Japanese dubs of foreign films and series, voicing main and supporting roles in everything from Netflix originals to Disney Channel animations.

Her career also extends to live stage performances, narration for TV shows and commercials, character songs, radio shows, and digital comics.

Saima is known for her friendly and warm relationships within the voice acting community. She is close friends with fellow voice actresses such as Yukiko Nagaku, Mikako Izawa, Masumi Tazawa, and Risa Tsumugi.

Saima is a self-proclaimed lover of spicy foods, especially watermelon, grilled organ meat, whelk, and salty rice crackers. She is not fond of sweets.

A true cat enthusiast, she shares her life with two cats named Senbei and Ramune, often posting their photos and videos on social media.
