Character Setting

Edit

Izetta is the central protagonist of *Izetta: The Last Witch*, a 15-year-old girl who is the last descendant of a witch clan.

Izetta is notably petite for her age, often mistaken for a child at first glance.

She possesses striking crimson hair and bright, determined eyes.

Once she reveals her powers, she dons a pure white outfit reminiscent of the legendary "White Witch."

For combat, she rides an anti-tank rifle modified with a handle and saddle, soaring through the skies as if riding a broomstick.

Izetta is deeply loyal and kind-hearted, driven by a desire to protect those she loves.

As a child, she was persecuted and nearly killed in her village before being saved by Ortfiné "Finé" Fredericka von Eylstadt.

Finé showed no fear or disgust towards her powers and became her first true friend, a kindness Izetta cherishes with absolute devotion.

Her ultimate wish is for Finé to "create a country where everyone can choose their tomorrow."

Izetta possesses the ability to bestow magical power into any object she touches, along with having magic flowing through her own blood.

Her true power, however, is not internal but comes from channeling the planet's ley lines, which are underground streams of magical energy.

If the ley lines are too thin or absent, her magic cannot be activated, which she compares to the precise and limited nature of a rapier.

This secret is guarded above all else; in the past, those who learned or spoke of it were executed by the clan.

Initially traveling in secret with her grandmother to hide her power, Izetta was captured by Germania and transported in a capsule as a top military secret.

She awoke mid-transport, was reunited with Finé, and used her magic to fend off Basler's fighter squadron.

Despite Finé urging her to flee the war, Izetta declared she would protect the princess's country herself.

At the Battle of Kenenberg, she single-handedly annihilated an enemy bomber fleet and tank battalion, earning her the public adoration of "the second coming of the White Witch."

She later fought through an ambush at Sognefjord, destroying an enemy aircraft carrier, but was subsequently defeated and captured by Sophie, Germania's own witch, in the Zern Corridor.

Rescued but gravely injured, Izetta was devastated to see Finé's spirits crushed by the war.

After receiving a magic stone from Sieghard Müller, she refused to stop fighting, reinvigorated a dispirited Finé with a slap to the face, and marched into the final battle.

In the climactic confrontation, she faced Sophie to prevent a missile launch.

Declaring that she could only live as a witch, she absorbed all the magic stored in the ley lines and released it completely, erasing the existence of witches from the world and vanishing alongside Sophie.

The war ended with Germania's surrender, and three years later, a post-war epilogue shows Finé visiting a house in the forest where she reunites with Izetta, who is now using a wheelchair.
