Although he boasts high academic achievements, he is a herbivore who harbors a fierce, carnivore-like destructive impulse within, and this duality is a key aspect of his allure.

Because of his mixed heritage, his sense of taste is severely impaired—both plants and meat taste like sand to him, a shocking and debilitating condition. He lacks both appetite and sexual desire, but his keen intuition is obvious to all. After Louis stepped down, he became the new boss of the Shishi-gumi, enforcing strict rules by limiting his subordinates’ consumption of meat to twice a month.
