Saru

Appearance in Episode 8

Saru appears in Episode 8, called "The Tale of the Monkey."

He is a wild boy who lives near a village in a valley full of sulfur.

Saru’s Life in the Mountains

Saru lost his parents when he was very young.

He has lived by himself in the mountains, hunting animals to survive.

The people in the village do not like Saru and often treat him badly.

Oume’s Kindness

Oume is the only person who is nice to Saru.

She always treats him with kindness, even when others do not.

Oume in Trouble

One day, Oume is chosen to be a "bride" for a monster called Nokosaregumo.

She is about to be sacrificed to this creature.

Saru’s Brave Plan

Saru cannot let this happen to Oume.

He joins Hyakkimaru and Dororo to fight against Nokosaregumo.

Together, they try their best to defeat the monster and save Oume.

Saru’s Unique Character

Saru is strong and wild because he has lived in the mountains for so long.

He is used to hunting and taking care of himself.

Even though he has suffered a lot, Saru has a caring heart, especially for Oume.
