Motoharu was the former Miko Guardian and Jinta's adoptive father.

Motoharu's Kind Heart

He took in Jinta and Suzune after they ran away from Jinta's real father, who abused them.

Motoharu raised them as his own children, together with his real daughter Shirayuki.

Motoharu as a Teacher

Motoharu also trained Jinta, who was learning to become a Miko Guardian to protect Shirayuki, who would become the new Itsukihime in the future.

Yoru Kaze was sealed away by the Oni Crying Sword, a weapon that belonged to the Demon Hunter, Kanetomi.

During the confusion in the Taisho era, Yoshikakure took the sword.

He then gained the power of Orihime by eating Yoru Kaze, who was sealed inside.
