Mez is a dark-skinned girl and one of the Four Rakshasa Demons of the Imperial Fist Temple, who treats assassination purely as a professional duty.
Voiced by: Aina Suzuki
She has a bright and innocent personality, almost childlike in her demeanor.
Despite her cheerful nature, she shows absolutely no hesitation when it comes to killing.
Unlike her three comrades, Mez views murder as nothing more than a job to be done.
Even when her partner Sten was defeated, she remained composed and confident.
Mez is a member of the elite group known as the Four Rakshasa Demons of the Imperial Fist Temple.
She is the biological daughter of Gozuki, the very man who trained Akame as an assassin.
This makes her a sort of adoptive sister to Akame and the other members of the Imperial Assassination Unit.
However, Mez claims she was neglected by her father, a fact that worried her comrades Sten and Suzuka.
She inherited the title of "Rakshasa Demon" directly from her father, Gozuki.
While considered the least powerful of the four Demons, Mez's greatest asset is her exceptional agility.
She utilizes her incredible speed as her primary weapon in combat.
Mez possesses a unique biological ability to alter her body's functions, specifically to increase the viscosity of her sweat.
By secreting a large amount of this highly sticky sweat, she can adhere to and neutralize thread-based weapons.
Gozuki
Her biological father, from whom she inherited her title. Mez stated that he neglected her during her upbringing.
Sten
A fellow Rakshasa Demon who she partners with during her mission to hunt Night Raid. He expressed concern for her well-being.
Lubbock
Her opponent from Night Raid. During their fight, he remarked he would have flirted with her if they weren't enemies, a comment she didn't seem to mind.
Akame
Essentially her adoptive sister, as they were both raised under the influence of Gozuki.
Lubbock considered her beautiful enough to say he "would have hit on her if they weren't on opposite sides."
In response to his flirtatious final words, Mez showed a reaction that suggested she wasn't entirely displeased.
The prequel, *Akame ga Kill! Zero*, features a fan-service scene with her in a hot spring.
Main Story Arc
In the main series, Mez is dispatched with her partner, Sten, to eliminate members of Night Raid.
They track down Lubbock, and after a struggle, Mez believes she has killed him, but he was only faking his death using his Teigu, Cross Tail.
After Sten is defeated, Mez neutralizes Lubbock's wires by secreting a large amount of her specialized sticky sweat.
She successfully corners him, but as a last-ditch effort, he throws a knife at her.
Mez easily dodges the knife, but fails to notice the wire attached to it.
The knife was pulled back by the wire, stabbing her from behind and dealing a fatal wound.
Prequel Arc (*Akame ga Kill! Zero*)
Mez appears in the prequel, where she and the other Rakshasa Demons team up with Akame's Imperial Assassination Unit.
They serve as reinforcements for a battle against the secret organization, Ollberg.
This storyline reveals more about her relationship with her father and showcases her strong sense of camaraderie.
