“Basilisk” is about two opposing ninja clans who, on the orders of the shogun, engage in a bloody war. Between the fronts are the two leaders of the clans, a young couple, Gennosuke Kouga and Oboro Iga, who were preparing for their wedding before the war broke out. The hatred that has built up over time between the two clans ends in a violent war of the ninja arts.
