Oboro is the top leader of Naraku, feared as “Yatagarasu.” He is a master in knowing the human body’s energy lines and can use them in battle to deal deadly blows or avoid harm by moving these points instantly. Oboro once fought in the Joui War against Gintoki Sakata and the rebels, killing many. He also once blinded Shinsuke Takasugi. Later, Oboro fought Gintoki again in important arcs and usually had the upper hand until finally losing. He was the top student of Shouyou Yoshida and was deeply affected by him. Oboro’s story is filled with loyalty, betrayal, and his own tragic end, where he dies after entrusting an important mission to Takasugi.
Oboro is known as the head of Naraku, called “Yatagarasu.”
He learned about human energy lines from Shouyou Yoshida and became an expert fighter.
As a child, Naraku attacked his village, and Utsuro saved him.
After this, he joined Naraku and helped Shouyou Yoshida start the Shoka Sonjuku school.
He later left to help Shouyou escape and returned to Naraku to watch over Shouyou.
Oboro finally had to kill Shouyou, but he was disappointed with Utsuro’s true nature.
He sacrificed his own blood to Utsuro, causing his body to slowly deteriorate.

He can strike these lines to cause instant death or move them to avoid injury.
His skills make him a dangerous fighter who can beat almost anyone in close combat.
Fighting in the Joui War
Oboro followed Sadaharu’s orders and fought against Gintoki Sakata and the rebels.
He killed many of the rebels.
After Shouyou Yoshida died, Oboro blinded Takasugi in a fight.
Confrontation in the Courtesan of a Nation Arc
Oboro met Gintoki Sakata again and fought fiercely.
He had the upper hand for a while but finally lost to Gintoki.
In the Shogun Assassination Arc
Oboro attacked Takasugi and gave him severe injuries.
Later, Gintoki and Takasugi teamed up against him.
During this fight, Takasugi blinded Oboro, and they both escaped together.
In the Farewell, Shinsengumi Arc
Oboro fought against Odd Jobs and the Shinsengumi.
He defeated several opponents but was finally beaten by Isao Kondou and Toushirou Hijikata.
In the Rakuyou Decisive Battle Arc
Utsuro’s blood ate away at Oboro’s body.
He fought Takasugi one last time and lost, dying soon after.
Before dying, he told Takasugi the truth about Utsuro and asked him to defeat Utsuro.
Takasugi took Oboro’s body and buried him at the ruins of Shoka Sonjuku.
Oboro was the top student and closest follower of Shouyou Yoshida.
He was saved by Utsuro as a child and felt both loyalty and disappointment toward him.
He fought bitterly against Gintoki Sakata and Shinsuke Takasugi.
Oboro’s life was filled with sacrifice, total loyalty to his teacher, and a sad destiny.
He chose to give up his own life to try to stop Utsuro’s evil plans.
