Diodora Astaroth is a handsome young devil with gentle, soft looks and striking green hair. Though he appears kind and friendly, he actually hides a very sinister side. As the next heir to the Astaroth family, he is drawn to pure-hearted girls, especially saints and sisters, and takes pleasure in leading them astray. Diodora's actions directly caused the tragedy of Asia Argento being exiled from her church. He partnered with the terrorist group Khaos Brigade and tried to assassinate the current devil king's bloodline, but was defeated by the Gremory team. His charm and manipulation make him stand out as more than just a typical villain, giving the story extra depth. Diodora's downfall brings heavy consequences to his family and leaves a strong impression on everyone involved.
Diodora Astaroth has green hair and looks like a gentle, attractive young man.
He always appears calm and friendly, but there is something mysterious about his eyes.
On the outside, Diodora acts kind and soft.
He shows interest in people and tries to act like a gentleman.
But in reality, he is actually wicked and enjoys bringing down pure-hearted, religious women.
He especially targets saints and sisters and takes pleasure in corrupting them.
Diodora is cunning and can charm women easily.
He uses his charisma to hide his evil intentions from others.
Diodora is the next heir to the Astaroth family, a famous devil family.
His family line produced the current devil king, Ajuka Beelzebub.
In the past, he was saved by Asia Argento.
Because of this, he has been interested in her ever since and tries hard to get close to her.
His intense attention sometimes makes Asia uncomfortable.
Tempting the Pure-Hearted
Diodora’s favorite thing is to tempt faithful women like saints and sisters.
He was the reason Asia Argento was kicked out of her church—a terrible event that changed her life.
The Original Plan
Diodora originally wanted to kill Raynare after she killed Asia Argento.
Then, he planned to use a devil’s Pawn piece to turn Asia into his servant.
However, Rias Gremory and her team, including Issei Hyoudou, interfered and changed everything.
With their help, Asia became part of Rias’s group instead of Diodora’s.
Joining the Khaos Brigade
Diodora joined forces with the terrorist group Khaos Brigade and tried to assassinate the current devil king’s bloodline.
He worked with Shalba Beelzebub, who gave him the "snake" power of Ophis.
But Diodora was overconfident and relied too much on his status as the heir of the Astaroth family.
The Battle and Downfall
During a battle with the Gremory team, they learned about Diodora’s true, ugly nature.
Rias and her friends were furious.
Even though Diodora had extra power, he was not strong in battle.
Issei Hyoudou even said Diodora's barrier was much weaker than Vali Lucifer’s.
They easily defeated him and rescued Asia Argento.
After that, he was seen as useless and was killed, just like Raynare.
It was a fitting end for his actions.
Consequences for the Astaroth Family
Because of Diodora’s crimes, the Astaroth family was forbidden from producing another devil king for a while.
- Asia Argento: Diodora was saved by her once and became obsessed with her. He wanted to make her his servant, but she ended up in Rias Gremory’s group.
- Rias Gremory and Issei Hyoudou: They saw through Diodora’s fake kindness and stopped his plans.
- Latia Astaroth: She is from a branch family. She has long gold hair with a hint of blue and sharp eyes. Even though she looks proud, she is very kind inside—unlike Diodora. Because of Diodora's disgrace, Latia became the next head of the Astaroth family and moved to Kuoh Town.
- Diodora’s charm and cleverness made him a memorable villain.
- His fate surprised many fans, as no one expected his cruel end.
- Latia’s name comes from the Pokémon character Latias.
