Lobov originally serves as the commander of a division within the Garrison Regiment stationed in the Walls.

Despite his senior rank and experience, he later joins the Scout Regiment as a new recruit for the offensive against Marley.

He participates in both the Marley expedition and the assault on the Liberio Internment Zone.

During the retreat from Liberio, he acts as the rearguard but is shot and killed by Gabi Braun just before he can escape.

Lobov takes part in the surprise attack on Marley as part of the Scout Regiment’s airborne operation.

He supports the retreat of his comrades by covering their escape and facing enemy fire from below.

As he attempts to board the fleeing airship, Gabi Braun shoots him with a rifle, killing him instantly.

His body falls, and his three-dimensional maneuvering gear is left behind.

Gabi and Falco Grice then use Lobov’s maneuvering gear to reach and infiltrate the airship.

This infiltration leads directly to crucial events aboard the airship, giving Lobov’s death a major impact on the storyline.

Lobov appears earlier in the story during the defense of Trost District, though he is not named at that time.

He is shown acting as part of the Garrison forces responding to the sudden breach of Wall Rose.

Only later is it revealed that this previously unnamed officer is Lobov.
