As Benjamin's master, he boasts an overwhelming amount of soot (an exceptionally large quantity), unmatched by any of his peers. In his starred duties, he serves as a secretary and is active as a stern-faced, muscular Shadow with a formidable physical presence. Together with his Living Doll, Ben, he undergoes daily training, and is notable for his strict diet, eating only broccoli and chicken breast.

His rough side is evident when he grabs Maryrose by the collar just for uttering Christopher's name. However, he also shows a compassionate side, such as protecting Barbara when she was almost blown away by one of Oliver's inventions, and warmly supporting teammates who are feeling down due to mistakes. Additionally, he is attentive enough to notice when Lou is looking unwell.

Although he is prone to becoming emotional, there is a certain rigidity to his speech and judgment. Because of this, Louise has pointed out, "Your face is scary and you're not good at conversation," prompting him to start working on his communication skills.

Furthermore, he possesses a unique ability to heighten the emotions of Living Dolls, and this effect persists for a while even outside his range. In fact, he boasts such a tremendous amount of soot that he can freely control all the Living Dolls in the Children's Wing.
