Sayo

Sayo is one of the heroines from the anime Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles. She is a simple village girl who lives in Yuba Village and is known as the best friend of Ruri. Sayo learns spirit arts in the village and secretly cherishes feelings for Rio. Even after he turns down her confession, she cannot let go of her feelings. Sayo eventually decides to leave her home, following Rio on his journey. Two years later, she meets Rio again in the Spirit Folk Village and faces new feelings when she sees many girls around him. With advice from Miharu, Sayo finds the courage to open her heart once more.

Sayo lives a simple life in Yuba Village. She usually wears clothes typical for village girls. Her look fits her modest and gentle personality.

Sayo is very kind and honest. She is a little shy when talking about her feelings for Rio. She cares deeply for her friends, especially Ruri, her best friend since childhood. Even after being rejected, Sayo does not give up easily and stays true to her heart.

Sayo was born and raised in Yuba Village. She learned spirit arts in her village and enjoyed a peaceful life together with Ruri. Growing up, she became familiar with rural customs and kept her gentle nature.

Sayo shares a close friendship with Ruri. She once confessed her love to Rio, but he turned her down. Even after this, her feelings stayed strong and she could not give up on him. Sayo’s bond with Gouki grew after he noticed her feelings, and Miharu later supported her during the reunion with Rio.

Sayo is known as Ruri’s best friend. During her time in Karasuki, she often spent time together with Rio.

From early on, Sayo develops a strong crush on Rio. She bravely confesses her feelings to him but is gently rejected.

Encouragement from Gouki

After witnessing these events, Gouki approaches Sayo. He encourages her and listens as she admits she cannot let go of her love for Rio.

With support from Gouki and her own determination, Sayo decides to leave the village to follow Rio after he departs.

Reunion in the Spirit Folk Village

Two years later, Sayo meets Rio again in the Spirit Folk Village.

She is surprised to see many other girls around Rio. Learning that Rio is of royal blood and remembering her past rejection, Sayo tries to keep some distance from him.

Miharu gives Sayo encouragement and helpful advice. Thanks to Miharu's support, Sayo finds fresh hope and feels inspired to go after her feelings once again.
