King has two main forms: a small boy and a round, heavyset adult man.

His “fat man” form is a formal, tensioned disguise created through a fairy transformation ability and is considered formal wear.

His true form is the youthful, small-bodied fairy boy.

When he first appears as a Seven Deadly Sins member, he does not yet have wings.

After reflecting his own “Status Promotion” off Meliodas’s “Full Counter,” he feels pain in his back, hinting at wings about to grow.

After passing the trial of Gloxinia and Drole, small wings sprout from his back.

Gloxinia notes that even with such small wings King can handle the Spirit Spear as skillfully as he does.

Because of this, Gloxinia expects that once King’s wings fully develop, he will become the strongest Fairy King in history.

During the battle against Mael, King’s power finally awakens completely.

His body becomes more mature, his wings evolve into large, butterfly-like wings, and his Spirit Spear forms become more powerful and can be manifested and controlled in multiple forms at once.

When he exhausts his magic, his appearance returns to the boy form with only small, newly grown wings.

Among The Seven Deadly Sins, King is relatively sensible and level-headed.

He shows proper respect toward royalty such as Elizabeth Liones and Arthur Pendragon.

Because many of his comrades are eccentric, King often acts as the straight man and commentator to their antics.

King was chosen by the Sacred Tree of the Fairy Realm as its absolute guardian.

Because of this, he inherited the name “King” and became the third Fairy King.

He is feared and respected as the protector of the Fairy King’s Forest and the fairies.

However, his greatest failure is tied to his sin of Sloth.

His official crime is “neglecting to prevent the massacre of humans carried out by a single fairy, despite his duty as Fairy King.”

This neglect and failure to act against his own kin’s atrocities became the root of his Grizzly Sin of Sloth.

The Tragedy with Helbram and Imprisonment

Around 700 years before the main story, a group of fairies was abducted by humans.

King left the Forest of the Sacred Tree to rescue them but was ambushed, gravely wounded, and lost his memory.

While King wandered, his fellow fairy Helbram became consumed by hatred and began hunting and massacring humans in revenge.

King eventually defeated Helbram without realizing the full context, but the responsibility for the overall tragedy fell on him as Fairy King.

As a result, King accepted a thousand-year imprisonment as punishment.

During this long sentence, his guilt and sense of duty as Fairy King only deepened.

Time with Diane

After losing his memory but before fully regaining it, King was cared for by Diane.

They spent around 500 years together, building a deep but fragile bond.

When the time came for him to submit to his punishment, King erased Diane’s memories of him.

He did this to spare her the pain and to shoulder his burden alone, which later became one of his greatest emotional regrets.

After the Seven Deadly Sins Disband

Ten years before the main story, The Seven Deadly Sins were framed and dispersed.

After that, King returned to his homeland and found the Fairy King’s Forest burned to ruins.

He also learned that his younger sister Elaine had been killed.

Believing Ban responsible, King attempted to take revenge on him.

In the Land of the Dead, Elaine’s spirit intervened and persuaded King to forgive Ban.

At Vaizel, King encountered his supposedly dead friend Helbram once again.

King rushed ahead to the kingdom to save Diane, who was in grave danger.

He fought Helbram while protecting Diane and their allies, defeating Helbram once.

However, because of Hendrickson’s interference, Helbram and King were forced into a third deadly confrontation.

Helbram asked King to kill him, and King, in deep sorrow, granted his wish.

After the liberation of the kingdom, King traveled with Ban for a time.

He eventually returned to the Fairy King’s Forest but was soon forced back into action.

Return to the Fairy King’s Forest and Albion

In the Fairy King’s Forest, King faced an attack by Albion, a powerful demon weapon.

He defeated Albion, demonstrating how far his strength and mastery over the Spirit Spear had advanced.

After this, King returned to The Seven Deadly Sins to rejoin their battle lines against the Demon Clan.

Because of Albion and similar experiences, his hatred toward demons intensified.

This led to frequent clashes with Meliodas, who has deep ties to the Demon Clan.

After undergoing the trial of Gloxinia and Drole, King learned about Meliodas’s past and the true nature of his struggle, which allowed them to reconcile.

Role in the Holy War

During the Holy War, Elizabeth Liones was abducted by Estarossa.

King joined forces with Derieri and others to pursue Estarossa.

There they discovered Estarossa’s true identity as Mael of the Four Archangels.

Mael, corrupted by stolen Commandments, overwhelmed them with immense power.

Despite the hopeless situation, King refused to give up and continued to fight.

When Mael absorbed four Commandments and reached a terrifying level, King was pushed to the brink.

At that moment, King remembered all the important people he wanted to protect—Elaine, Ban, Diane, his comrades, and his people.

This emotional surge triggered his full awakening as Fairy King, completely transforming his wings and amplifying his Spirit Spear.

Empowered by this awakening, King overwhelmed Mael and turned the tide of battle.

Later he used his Sacred Treasure to support Merlin and the others from afar, striking enemies across great distances.

He also fought alongside his comrades to drive out the Demon King, who had possessed Meliodas.

Afterward, he stood with the group again against the Demon King when he possessed Zeldris, helping bring the conflict to a final end.

Relationships and Aftermath

During the final battles against the Demon King possessing Zeldris, King proposed to Diane.

After all the crises were resolved, King and Diane returned together to the Fairy King’s Forest.

With Elaine and Ban eventually marrying, King became Ban’s brother-in-law.

King continued his duties as Fairy King, now supported by his partner Diane and reconciled with both his past and his guilt.

Condense Power

Condense Power concentrates the moisture of nearby trees into a single, compressed burst.

The resulting projectile strikes with force comparable to an iron ball, making it a powerful mid-range attack.

Spirit Spear Chastiefol

King’s Sacred Treasure is the Spirit Spear Chastiefol.

It is crafted from the Sacred Tree of the Fairy Realm and possesses a hardness surpassing steel.

Because Chastiefol is made from the Sacred Tree, it retains mysterious properties and regenerative abilities.

Even if the spear is broken in half, it can quickly regenerate.

By using Disaster, King can draw out all of Chastiefol’s latent traits.

Chastiefol can change into multiple forms, called “forms,” each with different abilities for offense, defense, and support.

When King releases its full power, Chastiefol takes the form of True Spirit Spear Chastiefol.

In this state, King’s combat class skyrockets and each form’s performance is greatly enhanced, though the energy cost also increases.

After completing Gloxinia’s trial, King became able to use the unleashed form of Chastiefol without risk or severe consumption.

During his battle with Mael, King’s power fully awakened, allowing him to use an even stronger awakened state.

In this awakened state, Chastiefol’s forms become more powerful and larger.

Because it holds a lot of water, Guardian has very high resistance to fire but is more vulnerable to freezing and ice attacks.

When King releases Chastiefol’s power, Guardian grows to roughly Diane’s size.

Its strength, durability, and impact are all greatly increased in this form.

In the awakened state, Guardian gains eight arms.

This multi-armed version can attack, guard, and shield multiple angles at once.

Third Form: Fossilization

The Third Form: Fossilization transforms the spear into a double-pronged, halberd-like weapon.

Celestial Arrow

Celestial Arrow is a powerful combination technique with Gowther.

Gowther forms a bow from his magic, and King uses Chastiefol as the arrow.

Trinity Attack: High-Tension Rush

Trinity Attack: High-Tension Rush is a three-person combination technique by King, Diane, and Gowther.

Gowther activates his illusion field, Illusion Garden, to create countless copies of King.

At the same time, Diane uses Drole’s Dance to boost King’s combat class and power.
