After losing a curry contest to Sebastian Michaelis, Soma forgives Mina for leaving and asks Agni to stay as his butler.
Agni, moved to tears, agrees.

Ciel Phantomhive trusts Agni and leaves him in charge of a townhouse in London.
Agni stays in England with Soma.
Townhouse Attack Arc (Volume 26 Spoilers)
One night, mysterious attackers come to the townhouse.
Soma is shot in the right hand, and Agni is attacked with knives.
Even after being wounded, Agni pushes Soma into a safe room and holds the door shut from the outside to protect him.
Ciel and others arrive, but Agni is already dead, covered in knife wounds but still guarding Soma.
