Abend is a legend among the Guard Corps of the Dowaa Kingdom. He was a loyal guard of the 2nd Princess until she relieved him of his duty.
Abend is the guard and soldier of the second Princess, Princess Schnee. Due to Schnee's desire to live among the people, and not in the castle anymore, Kuvarum came up with the plan to fake her death. Along with Abend, the two were to accidentally die out at sea, while on a trip to Peshi. Allowing Schnee the ability to live free of her royal duties. Abend told this to his friend and loyal follower, Nino's father, that he was going to Badon and was going to live there. Nino's father decided to follow him. After making their way to Bãdon, Schnee released Abend of his duties and the two went their separate paths. Nino's father continued to send updates to Abend, and the King about the Princess and her life among the civilian population. It is revealed in the last episode of the anime that Owl is Abend, and has been the one instructing Nino to look after the Otus children.
