Somar

Somar is a male human who grew up in Buena Village in the Fittoa Region.

As a child, he was part of the local village children who played together and sometimes clashed with one another.

He is most notable for his early antagonistic behavior toward Sylphiette, and for being one of the many residents caught up in the Fittoa Region Displacement Incident.

His experiences during and after the incident leave a sharp contrast between his carefree childhood and his later suffering.

In his youth, Somar treated bullying as a form of play.

He would harass Sylphiette, particularly targeting her distinctive green hair, without fully understanding the emotional harm he was causing.

This behavior shows him as immature and thoughtless rather than purely malicious.

His actions are eventually checked from the outside, rather than through his own self-reflection at that stage.

Somar often picked on Sylphiette, teasing and bullying her under the guise of “just playing around.”

He likely saw her quiet nature and unusual appearance as easy targets for mockery.

This bullying did not go unchallenged.

His treatment of Sylphiette becomes a key moment that draws the attention of another central character and changes the social dynamics in the village.

Somar’s behavior towards Sylphiette leads to a confrontation with Rudeus Greyrat.

Rudeus steps in to protect Sylphiette, confronting Somar and driving him away.

This incident effectively ends Somar’s open bullying of Sylphiette.

When the Fittoa Region Displacement Incident occurs, Somar is one of the many residents scattered across distant lands.

He is transported to the Holy Country of Millis.

There, his situation worsens dramatically: he is captured and turned into a slave.

This marks a harsh turn from his earlier, relatively sheltered village life.

Somar does not remain a slave indefinitely.

He is eventually rescued by the Fittoa Region Search Party, an organization formed to find and recover the people who were displaced.

Being freed from slavery brings him back into the wider world of former Fittoa residents.

Although detailed records of his later life are limited, his survival and rescue indicate that he becomes one of the many ordinary victims trying to rebuild their lives after the catastrophe.
