He is born to Olasird'arc Haylilyal, the Frost Dragon Lord, and one of his consorts, Keylisstran.

As the firstborn son, he technically has high status, but he personally lacks confidence and feels inferior in combat.

While other dragons value strength and dominance, Hejinmal puts knowledge and information first.

This unusual mindset makes him an outlier among the dragons of the region.
