Owl belongs to the elite assassination and enforcement unit known as the Shadow Beasts.

He is characterized by his constant sunglasses and his role as a logistical specialist rather than a front-line fighter.

He is a Conjuration-type Nen user.

His ability allows him to shrink and store large objects and even living beings by wrapping them in a Nen-created cloth.

Owl works under Light Nostrade as part of the Shadow Beasts, an underground group that supports the mafia.

Within this group, he is specifically in charge of transporting valuable items.

He is heavily involved in protecting the assets from the underground auction in Yorknew City.

Because of Neon Nostrade’s fortune-telling, he becomes particularly cautious about the predicted danger surrounding the auction.

After receiving Neon Nostrade’s ominous prophecy, he helps move the underground auction’s money and treasures to a safer location.

This relocation is intended to protect the goods from the looming threat of the Phantom Troupe.

During the Phantom Troupe’s assault on the underground auction, Owl participates in the mafia’s countermeasures.

He and the other Shadow Beasts track the Troupe in order to annihilate them.

Owl appears in the high-speed conflict that follows Kurapika’s capture of Uvogin.

He intervenes in the car chase between Kurapika’s group and the Phantom Troupe.

In the chaos of this pursuit, Owl manages to capture Nobunaga Hazama by using his Nen ability.

However, this success is short-lived when other Troupe members, including Feitan, retaliate.

Feitan and the others defeat Owl and the Shadow Beasts who engage them.

Among the Shadow Beasts, Owl is the only one not killed outright.

Instead of being executed, Owl is captured by the Phantom Troupe.

He is tortured and injured to the brink of death but kept alive intentionally.

Chrollo Lucilfer then steals Owl’s Nen ability.

After this, Owl loses his signature power and is left in a broken state, both physically and as a Nen user.

Owl is cautious and professional, especially regarding risk management and asset protection.

His quick reaction to Neon Nostrade’s fortune-telling shows that he takes warnings and intelligence very seriously.

He behaves less like a bloodthirsty enforcer and more like a specialist focused on strategy and logistics.

Even so, he is willing to directly confront powerful enemies when duty calls.

Mysterious and Handy Big Cloth (Fun Fun Cloth)

Owl’s Nen ability is a Conjuration-type technique known as Mysterious and Handy Big Cloth (Fun Fun Cloth).

He creates a special cloth out of Nen that can wrap around objects or living beings.

Anything wrapped in this Nen-created cloth can be shrunk dramatically and sealed inside.

This applies to large items such as cars and even to living creatures.

Once wrapped, the target is compressed to a size small enough to fit into a pocket.

This makes transport and concealment extremely efficient, turning Owl into a one-man storage and logistics system.

Because his ability can affect both inanimate objects and living beings, it has a wide range of tactical uses.

He can immobilize enemies, secure important assets, or quickly relocate large cargos during emergencies.

Owl’s combat style is based on support and control rather than raw offensive power.

He excels at ambush captures, like when he successfully restrains Nobunaga using his cloth.

In direct combat against top-tier fighters like the Phantom Troupe, however, his strengths are not enough.

His defeat by Feitan and the others underscores the gap between specialist mafia Nen users and the Troupe’s combat monsters.

Even so, his ability is considered valuable enough that Chrollo personally steals it.

This marks Owl as a Nen user whose power has high strategic value, despite his limited success in battle.
