Johan Liebert

Johan Liebert is a young man with golden blond hair and bright blue eyes. He has a flawless, beautiful face that stands out in any crowd. When growing up, his mother often dressed him as a girl so he could look exactly like his twin sister, Anna Liebert. Even as an adult, Johan sometimes disguises himself as Anna. He can appear so convincing that it fools almost everyone, even making people immediately fall for him.

Johan Liebert is extremely charismatic and clever. He knows how to charm people and control them easily. Johan is very cold-hearted and treats other people’s lives as unimportant. He shows no empathy and has no regrets about the horrible things he does. Johan is also a smart planner and often uses slow, careful methods to scare and destroy his targets, especially if he has strong feelings about them.

Johan is Anna Liebert’s twin brother. Their father was a German-Czech military officer, and their mother was a talented woman who studied genetic engineering at Brno University. The twins were born as a result of Franz Bonaparta's experiment. Their mother, trying to escape the experiment, went into hiding with Johan and Anna (then called Anna), living in a house in Prague known as “The Three Frogs.” Later, Anna was kidnapped by Bonaparta and taken to the “Red Rose Mansion.” She was freed before the experiment there was finished, and their mother disappeared soon after. Hearing Anna’s story helped Johan to remember Bonaparta’s cruel experiments, making Johan begin to believe he was the real “Monster” from the storybook “The Nameless Monster.”

Johan can speak several languages fluently, including German, English, French, Romanian, and Czech. He is a genius with an extraordinary mind and a strong ability to convince, control, and manipulate people. Johan is an expert at hiding his feelings and plans, making it hard for anyone to know what he is really thinking.

There is a comedy skit by Impulse where Itakura acts as a man pretending to be Johan Liebert to get out of trouble. This guy tries to copy Johan's coolness to get away with things like fare evasion or being caught peeing in public, but he gets scared easily when threatened. He quickly gives away his real name, Kazutaka Shimizu, and says he is 30 years old. Many fans of the comedy show “Enta no Kamisama” now associate Johan Liebert with Itakura.

Childhood and Experiments

Johan was born in May 1975 to parents chosen by Franz Bonaparta for his experiment. With his mother and twin, he hid in Prague at “The Three Frogs” house. Anna was taken to the “Red Rose Mansion” by Bonaparta but escaped during the experiment. Johan later heard Anna's story and found he had the same memories. From a young age, he started seeing himself as the monster from the storybook “The Nameless Monster.”

Life on the Run and in the Orphanage

Johan and Anna escaped from the Czech Republic but nearly died near the border. General Wolf found and rescued them, sending them to a facility called "511 Kinderheim." There, Johan manipulated students and staff to destroy the orphanage from within.

Move to West Germany and Disappearance

The twins were taken in by a couple, the Lieberts, and moved to West Germany as their children. Johan killed the Lieberts and was then shot in the head by Anna. Kenzou Tenma saved his life during emergency surgery. Johan later overheard Tenma expressing regret about saving him, so Johan killed the hospital staff that Tenma mentioned. After that, he disappeared with Anna. Nine years later, Johan reappeared before Tenma.

Crimes and Activities

After leaving the hospital, Johan kept killing foster parents and elders who took him in, as if it were j
