Gamao

Gamao appears as a hefty young man, typically wearing a knit hat, a light blue jacket, and an orange T-shirt with a "T" on it. He pairs these with cargo pants. This casual, somewhat sloppy look highlights his laid-back personality.

In his combat form, Gamao turns into a toad-like monster with orange spots, dressed in medieval European-style clothing. This form features a notably long tongue, which he uses for attacks.

His final form appears in episode 36, where after using the "black paper," he becomes a massive, red-skinned monster with enlarged limbs and an even longer, more powerful tongue.

Gamao is extremely lazy and lacks motivation, often acting only out of self-interest. His main goal in Nightmare is to get rich easily, showing little loyalty to the organization itself.

He tends to avoid direct confrontations unless forced by circumstance, and his jobs rarely last due to his short temper and lethargy. He is a habitual complainer, frequently expressing annoyance at any inconvenience.

As a part-time worker for Nightmare, Gamao is not a regular or official member. Bunbee treats him as a subordinate, but Gamao’s allegiance is always questionable.

After being defeated by the PreCure team in his first encounter, he doesn't return to headquarters. Instead, he tries to get by in the human world through a series of odd jobs, none of which last due to his poor work ethic.

Gamao often creates monsters called Kowaina by using special masks, of which he seems to have an unusual supply—even when not returning to Nightmare's base.

In his monster form, Gamao attacks using his long tongue, which can wrap around and immobilize his opponents. However, the length of his tongue sometimes backfires, causing it to get stuck and leave him vulnerable.

In his final form, enhanced by the “black paper,” he becomes a huge red-skinned beast. This transformation grants him even greater strength and more destructive attacks with his tongue and massive body, but he loses his self-identity in the process.

• Bunbee: Acts as Gamao's direct supervisor within Nightmare and considers him a subordinate, even though Gamao is technically a part-timer.
• Kawarino: Provides Gamao with new powers and dangles the promise of a promotion, manipulating him for organizational objectives.
• PreCure 5 Team: Gamao encounters them mostly by accident rather than through deliberate missions.

Part-Time Villain in Nightmare

Gamao is initially recruited as a short-term villain by Nightmare, mainly for his willingness to follow orders—for a fee. He’s tasked with stealing the Dream Collet but is mainly interested in selling it for personal gain.

Post-Defeat Struggles

After losing to the PreCure team in his first battle, Gamao does not return to Nightmare’s headquarters. Destitute and hungry, he drifts through various part-time jobs in the human world, all of which end quickly due to his slothful character.

Tempted by Power

In episode 32, Gamao meets Kawarino, who gives him a new type of Kowaina. Kawarino promises Gamao a chance to become an executive if he succeeds. Eager for the promotion, Gamao starts actively seeking ways to prove himself.

The Downfall

In episode 36, Gamao picks up a “black paper” left by Kawarino, unaware it grants overwhelming power at the cost of his own self. The mask fuses with him, transforming Gamao into his final form. He attacks with renewed ferocity but is ultimately defeated by the PreCure's combined finisher, "PreCure Five Explosion." Gamao perishes, becoming Nightmare’s third major casualty.

• As a part-timer, Gamao is not privy to Nightmare’s inner workings or the true fate of Palmier Kingdom, unlike the regular members.
• He is the only major adversary whose involvement in the destruction of Palmier Kingdom is unclear.
• While other members understood the dark mask's true effects, Gamao wandered into his fate out of naïve ambition, making him a pitiable villain consumed by his desire for an easy life.
