"It's tough being an adult, isn't it...?"
Early Events and Undercover Work
Guston works with Jun Feng as a transporter, pretending to be just a regular worker.
Secretly, they are agents for the Space Assembly League.
He expertly pilots their spaceship as they transport Miorine Rembran out from Earth.
Based on Miorine’s orders, Guston changes course and drops her off at the Benelitt Group's assembly hall.
Working with Belmeria Winston
Later, when Miorine returns to the Asticassia School, Guston and Jun Feng appear as she searches for staff for her new ship.
Jun Feng puts Guston in charge of Belmeria Winston, and together, they interrogate her to learn more about Quiet Zero.
They decide to head to Plant Quetta with Belmeria. However, Shin Sei agents attack them, having caught on to Belmeria’s intentions.
Despite Jun Feng being shot, Guston and Belmeria manage to escape thanks to her sacrifice.
Supporting Suletta Mercury
After escaping, Guston and Belmeria travel to the school front instead of Plant Quetta.
He first asks Suletta Mercury to persuade her mother, Prospera Mercury, but soon realizes it’s impossible.
Guston then presents Suletta with the Gundam Calibarn, a dangerous mobile suit captured during the Vanadis incident, asking her to use it to stop Quiet Zero.
The Earth House strongly objects to sending Suletta alone, but eventually agrees to support her.
Elan Ceres, who overhears, also joins the effort, creating a team to face Quiet Zero together.
While watching these young people agree to risk everything, Guston utters his memorable line about the pain of being an adult.
During the mission, he tries to support him in his own way, persuading the Space Assembly League fleet to stop their attack. Though the leader ignores his plea, Guston continues to back Suletta and her friends until the end.
Aftermath
Three years later, Guston is seen visiting graves on Earth with Belmeria Winston, honoring those who were lost.
Giving the dangerous Calibarn to Suletta, a child, mirrors the ruthless methods used by the Space Assembly League’s enemies.
Many point out this irony, and it is clear from Guston’s own words that he did not want to resort to such a solution unless absolutely necessary.
