Lucas Vierge

Lucas possesses a bright personality, always wearing a smile, which has earned him high popularity among the citizens. He has a trickster-like nature and frequently causes trouble with his actions. He is described as an energetic, cheerful, and devilish handsome boy.

Beneath his often-smiling face and fluffy aura, Lucas is sharp and not to be underestimated, possessing keen intuition and foresight. Kenzaburo Tondabayashi described him as "elusive and likely a high-difficulty capture target." Despite being the Second Prince, his drawn-out speech and overly free actions are often perceived as insincere, leading to a noticeable lack of respect from his classmates Grace Auvergne, Anna Doll, and Lambert Balance.

He is charmingly cute enough to be called a beautiful boy, with Grace and Anna declaring his cross-dressing "a natural talent" during a school festival play. Lucas seems to enjoy the unfolding events around Grace, calmly observing the communication breakdowns between Grace (possessed by Kenzaburo) and others, remarking, "It's interesting, so it's fine."

Up to Volume 5, Lucas does not have main episodes dedicated to him. Instead, he frequently acts as a plot device, making prophetic statements, instigating events as a troublemaker, or appearing alongside Virgile in serious story segments.

In the "School Labyrinth Arc" (Volume 3, Anime Episode 9), Lucas's past actions backfired, leading Kenzaburo to state that he wouldn't want an "unknown type" as Anna's future husband candidate, and Anna herself held no special feelings for him. His careless actions caused the arc's chaos, resulting in him being the only male student council member not summoned to the Labyrinth of Trials.

During the "School Festival Arc" (Volume 4, Anime Episode 12), Lucas inexplicably met alone with Jacqueline Auvergne, Grace's mother, whom even Grace (possessed by Kenzaburo) had been unable to reconnect with. He relayed advice that helped Grace out of a predicament during the play.

In an episode preceding Grace and Anna's birthdays (Volume 6), Lucas offered Anna a magic bag, which Anna politely refused, recalling her mother's words against exchanging expensive items with friends to avoid creating a hierarchy. Lucas, though somewhat dramatically, was genuinely impressed by her stance and sincerely admitted his mistake, correcting his behavior. Witnessing this, Kenzaburo reflected on his own similar inclinations and revised his assessment of Lucas, realizing he hadn't known Lucas was "such a kind-hearted boy."

His family name, "Vierge," means "Virgo" in French.
