Beatrice

Beatrice has a mechanical voice box built into her neck, the result of her father's obsession with machines. She often wears a large ribbon to hide this feature. She is a student at the prestigious Queen's Mayfair School, which is also where she works as Princess's maid.

Beatrice is gentle and loyal, especially devoted to Princess after being saved from being bullied. She can be nervous and easily flustered, often acting as the team's comedic relief. Despite this, when things get serious, she can be brave and make good decisions. She cares deeply about machines, often calling them "this child."

Beatrice is the daughter of a baron from the Albion Kingdom. Her father was a scientist who, without her consent, replaced her voice box and the area around her neck with machines. Because of this, she was bullied and rejected by others.

Princess, despite being a royal, reached out to Beatrice, offering to be her friend. This changed Beatrice's life, and she became very dedicated to Princess. Even though she has bad memories about her father, she learned a lot about machines from him and loves using and fixing all kinds of devices.

At school, she shares a dorm room with Chise Todo. She doesn't like the smells of the foods Chise brings, like fermented soybeans and pickled vegetables.

Beatrice's main gift is her artificial voice box, which allows her to copy all kinds of voices, including those outside the normal hearing range. There's a switch on the back of her neck to turn the device on and off. She can mimic anyone's voice but still has to act and use the right speaking style for the person she's copying.

Beatrice is skilled in mechanics, can read complex diagrams, and even fixes her own voice box. She sometimes works with listening devices and other mechanical tools for the spy team. While she carries a pistol, her fighting skills are basic, so she relies on her teammates during battles.

After joining the spy team, she learned new spy skills and even picked up lip reading. This allows her to contribute more to the group's missions.

Beatrice is very close to Princess, seeing her as her savior and friend. Though she initially distrusted Ange le Carré and Dorothy, believing they were only after Princess, she later became a proper team member after realizing they wanted to protect Princess too.

She gets along with the team and is seen as the "mascot" because of her friendly nature. She shares a room with Chise Todo in the school dormitory.

Becoming Princess’s Attendant and Friend

Beatrice was forced into having a mechanical voice box by her own father, who was fascinated by machines. Because of this, she became an outcast among her peers and was bullied for being different. Princess noticed Beatrice's loneliness and asked to be her friend. Grateful for Princess's kindness, Beatrice decided to always stay by her side as her attendant and protector.

Joining the Spy Team

When Princess decided, on her own, to join Dorothy's spy team from the Albion Republic, Beatrice felt she had no choice but to follow. At first, she didn't want to become a spy. She distrusted Ange le Carré and Dorothy, worrying they would use Princess. But after seeing their real intentions, she became more involved.

Learning to be a Spy

Beatrice was not confident at first and didn't have much experience in secret missions. But using her unique artificial voice, mechanic skills, and new knowledge like lip reading, she soon became more useful. Over time, she learned to handle herself in dangerous situations, even facing deadly threats without panicking.

Growing With the Team

Although Beatrice often finds herself in trouble and can be clumsy, she has learned to support her team. She sometimes goes on missions paired with Ange le Carré or Dorothy, using her voice skills to help the team succeed. She also helps care for and repair the team's equipment, always eager to make sure everything works well.

Voice acting for Beatrice and her artificial voices is performed by different voice actors: Ayaka Imamura, Fukushi Ochiai, Motomu Kiyokawa, Tesshō Genda, Yukio Hirota, and Hiroya Ishimaru.
