Daiki Aomine

Daiki Aomine is a tall and athletic boy with a dark skin tone.

He is 192 cm tall and weighs 85 kg.

When he was a first-year in middle school, he was already 175 cm tall.

His birthday is August 31, making him a Virgo.

His blood type is B.

Daiki is very confident, even to the point of being arrogant.

He often says, "The only one who can beat me is me."

He used to ignore his seniors, skip all practices, and even miss games.

Daiki acts lazy and likes to nap on the school rooftop.

He is terrible at studying and often needs to be rescued from failing his classes.

But deep inside, Daiki loves basketball and values his friends, even if he acts cold sometimes.

He is stubborn but can be very supportive to people he respects.

When Daiki was younger, he just loved playing basketball all the time, even with adults.

He joined Teiko Middle School and trained really hard, quickly becoming the ace of the team.

He was Tetsuya Kuroko’s close partner and they had the best teamwork in the "Generation of Miracles."

But as he got stronger, no one could keep up with him anymore.

He felt bored during matches because opponents would give up against him.

This made him lose interest and start skipping practice.

He entered Tōō Academy under the special condition that he would only play games, not practice.

Daiki’s main power is his "formless" basketball style.

He doesn’t stick to textbook moves or positions, making his plays almost impossible to predict.

He is super fast and can change speeds or stop quickly, confusing defenders.

He can score from any position, with any body angle, even against strong defense.

People call him "the unstoppable scorer."

He can enter “the Zone,” a state where he uses 100% of his power, anytime he wants.

He is also great at reading opponent’s moves and reacting right away.

His top play is the crossover, and he’s especially proud of his dribbling speed.

Even though he rarely did it before, he can pass when he wants, but is not very good at it.

He has a close bond with Tetsuya Kuroko, calling him "Tetsu."

He’s childhood friends with Satsuki Momoi, the basketball team's manager, and calls her "Satsuki."

Even though he seems to act selfishly, he cares about his teammates and listens to Kōsuke Wakamatsu after he becomes captain.

Daiki also respects Taiga Kagami as a true rival.

Early Basketball Life

Daiki loved basketball from a very young age.

He trained hard and played with adults, quickly surpassing his peers.

When he joined Teiko Middle School, he became the ace after showing his talent first among the "Generation of Miracles."

He pushed himself and Kuroko to become the strongest pair.

Daiki was inspiring, always pushing Kuroko not to quit.

Losing His Passion

As his abilities grew, Daiki’s skill level became unreachable for other middle schoolers.

Other teams were overwhelmed by his talent and often gave up during matches.

This made games boring and lonely for him, even when he won.

He realized practicing made him even stronger and widened the gap, so he started skipping.

He blew off practices, expecting to get benched, but coaches always let him play if the team won.

Adults failed to properly guide him, which made the situation worse.

Turning Point in High School

Daiki entered Tōō Academy with special conditions to skip practice.

He continued to play alone and act cold toward his teammates.

He often lay around and acted like winning was just a way to kill time.

Despite this, he still looked out for teammates like Satsuki Momoi and Kōsuke Wakamatsu in small ways.

Rivalry and Growth

When he faced Taiga Kagami and Kuroko on Seirin High School, Daiki found real competition again.

This made him excited and slowly brought back his passion for basketball.

After losing to Seirin in the Winter Cup, Daiki decided to start training again.

He became more focused and even began to accept advice from his new captain.

He also started helping others more openly.

He practiced shooting with Kuroko and gave Taiga his basketball shoes and did one-on-one training.

He started respecting the effort of his former teammates and others more often.

The Jabberwock Game

In "EXTRA GAME," Daiki takes part in the match against Jabberwock.

He teams up with Ryōta Kise to stop Silver Jason by both entering the Zone at once.

Later, with Taiga, he enters the Zone again in the final two minutes to score the winning dunk together.

He is the only player to stay on the court from start to finish.

He even played as a team player, passing the ball (even though he’s not good at it), showing how much he’s grown.

Daiki doesn’t join any school committees.

He forgets when he first started basketball, saying “I just found myself playing.”

He is very protective of his friends, especially when someone insults Kuroko or Ryōta Kise’s hard work.

He once got called out for getting stung by a bee, which he now dislikes.

Despite his flaws, Daiki Aomine is someone who still loves basketball at his core and is happiest when he gets to play an all-out match.
