Tōya Kamijo is the father of KAMIJO TOUMA and the husband of Shīna Kamijo. He presents with an unkempt beard and a seemingly carefree personality, yet he possesses a distinct intellectual quality. He is an elite employee in a foreign-affiliated company, specifically part of the "Securities Trading Countermeasures Office," an exclusive department with only 11 members.
Voice Actor: Kenji Nomura.
He resides in Kanagawa Prefecture. With his slicked-back black hair and charming goatee, he might appear to be an average dad at first glance. However, he is an elite sales representative for a considerably large foreign-affiliated company. He belongs to the "Securities Trading Countermeasures Office," a specialized unit with only 11 members. Consequently, the financial support he provides to his son is quite substantial.
Both Tōya and his son are notorious for setting up romantic flags, leading MISAKA MIKOTO to exclaim, "They really are father and son..." Each time, he manages to displease his wife, whose smiling face can be surprisingly intimidating. He is a devoted husband and father. During a family trip to the beach, his son genuinely worried he might attempt something "unsuitable for a Dengeki Bunko novel" with his wife at night (whose body had been swapped with Index Librorum Prohibitorum).
Similar to Shīna, he possesses a slightly naive streak. He constantly frets over his son's misfortune-prone nature. Whenever he travels for overseas business, he buys numerous amulets and various items from different countries, hoping to cure KAMIJO TOUMA's bad luck.
Ironically, the specific arrangement of these souvenirs inadvertently triggered the "Angel Fall" phenomenon. This incident even resulted in his newly built house being destroyed by Motoharu Tsuchimikado. After the "Angel Fall" incident concluded, he stopped collecting souvenirs.
Interestingly, he once won 100,000 yen (fourth prize) in a lottery. This makes him a person of strong luck, a striking contrast to his unfortunate son.
