Baal

Baal is a tall and strong young man. Among the 13 Crowns, he looks younger than many. He gives off the vibe of a tough warrior and is known for handling the southern demons.

Baal has an arrogant and fearless attitude. He is not afraid to speak his mind, even to his superiors, and always acts with great confidence. He is unhappy with the current peaceful demon world and longs for the days of chaos and conflict. Brave, bold, and sometimes blunt, Baal has no problem acting on his ambitions and shaking things up.

Even though he acts tough and rude, he pays special attention to Kiriwo Amy and wants to guide him, sometimes yelling but often giving him things or advice. When it comes to his family, he can be sharp, showing he has personal boundaries.

Baal is one of the 13 Crowns, the high-ranking rulers of the demon world, and is called the "Thunder Emperor." As a graduate of Babyls Demon School, he was part of the Magic Tool Research Club, where he met Kiriwo Amy. He is the younger brother of Sabnock Sabzan and the uncle of Sabro Sabnock and Silvia Sabnock, though Sabro says they are not true brothers by blood.

He leads the southern demons, showing his status as a fierce general. Secretly, Baal works to bring back chaos to the demon world by plotting to overthrow the current order.

Baal’s family magic is unknown. He is a strong fighter and leader with impressive magical skills. He also has a sharp mind, able to organize complex schemes and use others to achieve his plans.

Official sources confirm he also holds the "Ancestor Return" bloodline, showing he is even more powerful than he seems, though he shows no outward signs of this in the main story.

• Kiriwo Amy: Baal became friends with Kiriwo Amy during school, taking a special interest in him because of his strong "Ancestor Return" blood. He acts as a guardian, sometimes angry, but still helps Kiriwo with gifts and information.
• Sabnock Sabzan: Baal’s older (adoptive) brother, although not blood-related. They share a tense relationship, especially over family matters and Baal’s approach to chaos.
• Sabro and Silvia Sabnock: Baal is their uncle. He supports Sabro’s goal to become Demon King but wants him to do it the right way.
• Ocho: His loyal servant and agent, who helps him spy and carry out secret missions.
• Delkira: Baal wants to revive the former Demon King Delkira and steal his power.
• Iruma Suzuki: Baal sees Iruma as a target and tries to capture or use him for his plans.
• Princess Shura: After Baal saves her (in a plot he staged himself), Shura becomes very attached to him, inviting him to tea often and giving him gifts. Baal uses her affection, but also treats her with rare respect.

Before the Main Story

When Baal was at Babyls, he joined the Magic Tool Research Club and met Kiriwo Amy. He often checked on Kiriwo and liked testing his traps for fun.

Battler Party Arc

Baal tells Henri Azazel about Sullivan’s illegal trip to the human world to slow Sullivan down. While Sullivan is gone, Kiriwo tries to blow up the school using the magic tool "Gabuko-chan" on Baal’s orders, but their plan fails when Iruma Suzuki stops Kiriwo. Kiriwo is caught by the school.

Walter Park Arc

Baal calls his Six Fingers group together to help Kiriwo escape prison. He plans to destroy Walter Park, thinking it is useless for demons. Even though his summoned monster attack fails thanks to the teachers and students, Baal does manage to break Kiriwo out of jail.

Harvest Festival Arc

Baal sends Ocho as a spy to the Harvest Festival. Thanks to a bug hidden on Iruma Suzuki, they discover Iruma is actually a human.

Music Festival Arc

Baal convinces Wetoto to recruit Amduscias Polo, a former 13 Crown. This hints at Baal’s plan to revive Delkira.

Thirteen Dinner Arc

Baal argues with Sullivan about choosing the next Demon King, but agrees to the Trickster Plan for picking and raising a new king. When he meets Iruma Suzuki for the first time, Baal worries about Iruma’s endless appetite, thinking he might have dangerous potential.

Encounters with Family

Baal asks Sabzan for a weapon and meets Sabro, saying he wants to recommend Sabro as Demon King. Sabro refuses, wanting to earn it himself.

Heartbreaker Arc

Baal sends Shiida and Atori from his Six Fingers group undercover as teachers at Babyls to steal Delkira’s artifact. If their cover is blown, he is fine with students getting hurt or killed, and tells them to kidnap Iruma as well. When Atori brings back a report with Delkira’s mark, Baal is sure that Iruma has Delkira’s magic.

Great Noble Assembly Arc ("Betrayal of the 13th Day")

Baal arrives as the escort of Narunia (who is actually Henri Azazel in disguise). When a new 13 Crown is chosen, Baal suggests leaving Delkira’s seat empty and recommends Barbatos Bachiko for it.

Just then, Behemolt shows up crazed and tries to attack Princess Shura, but Baal defeats him, saving her. In truth, Baal set this all up so he could become a hero in the eyes of the nobles and especially Princess Shura. After this, Shura grows deeply attached to Baal, and he becomes more influential than ever.
