Katana Devil is a male weapon hybrid who possesses the power of the Katana Devil, serving as a vengeful antagonist against Denji in the series Chainsaw Man.
Katana Devil is a human–devil hybrid created when Akane Sawatari transplanted the heart of the Katana Devil into his body.
He is better known in the story as the “grandson of the yakuza boss” who originally exploited Denji and later joins a large-scale assault on Public Safety Devil Hunters.
Within Public Safety he is unofficially referred to as “Samurai Sword,” while his real name is never revealed.
Among his criminal associates he is simply called “Young Master,” and fans often call him “Yakuza’s Grandson” or “Sideburns Guy.”
Commercial tie-ins occasionally list him as “Momiage-man,” a nickname that originated from Denji making fun of his thick sideburns.
In adaptations, he is voiced by Daiki Hamano and portrayed on stage by Oreno Grafitti (human form) and Shoma Yoshioka (transformed form).

Human Form
In human form, Katana Devil appears as a man roughly in his thirties with a tall and imposing build.
His most striking feature is his very thick, long sideburns, which he has had since childhood and which inspire the nickname “Momiage-man.”
He usually wears a long coat, giving him a sharp, somewhat old-fashioned gangster look.
This coat later enhances his militaristic silhouette when he transforms.
Transformed Form
He transforms by pulling out his left hand like a hidden blade, as if drawing a sword from a built-in sheath in his own wrist.
Once transformed, a massive katana grows horizontally through his head from back to front, with a cap-like guard attached that resembles a military peaked cap.
His head becomes covered in a black, fleshy material with no visible eyes or other sensory organs, but his mouth becomes a gaping maw with exposed teeth.
Blades also grow through both of his arm
