Danka Niel Maple

The traveling male elf warrior journeys through many lands as a nightingale, seeking to find fellow elves who have been captured. In the story, he is the first character to interact with Arc, and there are scenes where Arc learns from him about the traits of the fluffball fox and the reality of elf hunting. Later, he meets Arc again in the city of Diento, after receiving instructions from Ariane Glenys Maple, and together they carry out the mission to rescue the elves. Normally, he acts individually from Arc and the others. During rest periods, he enjoys tasting the local specialty dishes, and starting from Volume 3 of the manga adaptation, a special is included featuring him as the protagonist in the otherworld gourmet comic “Danka Meshi.”

In the anime, due to the change where Arc’s first encounter scene is with Ariane Glenys Maple in episode 3, he does not appear there. Instead, the elf rescue scene in the city of Diento is depicted as the first meeting between Arc and him.
