Duramente has long reddish-brown hair that reaches her waist, with mesh highlights in her bangs. Her eyes are sharp and a bit fierce, making her look strong and determined. She often has her ears standing tall and neatly keeps her tail, giving it a weight that's just right for sports.

When racing, she wears a uniform with black, red, and yellow lines, inspired by her real horse counterpart’s owner's racing colors. There’s a red cross design on the chest and a feather on her shoulder, which she added to imitate Air Groove.

Her casual look features a short top and red pants, which reveal her belly. She doesn’t seem to mind the bold look.

She finds it hard to ask for help, and when she tries to hide her worries, she becomes tense. Duramente wants to look as cool as her father and stand proud among her talented family.

Duramente was born into a well-known family famous for sports. Her grandfather and father were both stars in their fields, and her mother is a former racehorse who won two big trophies. Her family isn’t the richest, but everyone knows them.

She has two older sisters who have already retired from racing. Though her family expects a lot from her, they are never harsh about it, and their relationships are good.

Duramente learned many different sports from her family, making her skilled in more than just racing. The whole family loves table tennis competitions during hot spring trips.

Duramente’s Role in Umamusume: Pretty Derby Season 3

Duramente enters as a highly promising elite horse girl from a famous family. She believes fulfilling great expectations is normal and trains hard every day. Although always serious, as soon as a race begins, she shows her strong fighting spirit.

As a child, she attended Air Groove’s mother’s race school, forming a deep bond with Air Groove. She treats her almost like an older sister.

The Satsuki Sho and Japanese Derby

During the Satsuki Sho, Satono Crown was the favorite, but Duramente quickly took the lead and won with an amazing final sprint, even after shifting from the inside to the far outside. In the next big race, the Japanese Derby, Duramente dominated again, ignoring her rivals and crossing the finish line in first.

Injury and Recovery

Plans were made for her to compete in the Triple Crown and the Arc de Triomphe, but after the Derby, Duramente broke a bone and had to rest. She missed the Kikka Sho and could only watch Kitasan Black win the race that she couldn't enter.

Although she claimed she wasn’t interested in rivals, she spoke with Kitasan Black about her hopes of coming back and beating everyone to prove she truly was the strongest.

The Takarazuka Kinen

Duramente returns in the Takarazuka Kinen and faces a stronger Kitasan Black. Despite pain in her leg, she chases hard but finishes second to another horse girl called River Light. She promises to return and win by an even bigger margin next time.

She begins to open up and even gets a friendly nickname from Kitasan Black, though she feels a bit awkward about it.

Later Episodes

After her injury, Duramente focuses on recovery and helps inspire Kitasan Black. She appears at school events and tries her best in games, showing she can sometimes be clumsy when not racing.

At the series finale, Duramente watches Kitasan Black's last big race alongside Air Groove, proud of her rival and friend.

Game Version

In the Umamusume: Pretty Derby mobile game, Duramente first appears in Satono Crown's story (December 2023). She gets her own playable story as a ★3 character in February 2024.

She is shown as usually quiet, but deep down she is friendly and very honest. She admires her father and tries to act cool like him. When she gets nervous, her tension is obvious, and people might feel overwhelmed by her strong presence.

Manga Appearance

In "Uma Musumeshi," Duramente first appears in chapter 45. On a rainy day, she and Satono Crown cook cold noodles together after their training is canceled. Here, she briefly wears her hair in a ponytail.

Duramente is the first Umamusume character based on a horse owned by Sunday Racing, which started a big shift in the Umamusume franchise. Fans were surprised by her secret reveal in the anime and became excited for more Sunday Racing horse girls.
