Cocona

Cocona is a second-year middle school girl with short blue hair. She lost her parents in an accident during her childhood and now lives together with her grandmother, working side by side to get by. Cocona is cautious, enjoys reading, and is the class representative, embodying the model honor student type. She excels academically, and her childhood friend Yayaka often says she could get into any school she chooses, but Cocona can be clumsy outside of studying.

Though she was an ordinary girl at first, Cocona's encounter with Papika leads her into adventures in the alternate world known as Pure Illusion. At first, she feels anxious about the dangers in Pure Illusion and Papika’s unpredictable actions, but after Papika comes to understand the concept of life and death and discovers the fun of adventure, Cocona sometimes finds herself enjoying these adventures with her.

In addition to her original personality, Cocona often gets caught up in Papika’s impulsive actions. At the same time, she feels a sense of inadequacy about Papika’s proactive nature and domestic skills. Nevertheless, Cocona is able to express her opinions clearly, and together with Papika, they form a good duo.

With the power of a fragment of Mimi, Cocona transforms into Pure Blade. During her transformation, she calls out, “Slice, slice, and cut through everything! Pure Blade!” Her color motif is primarily pink.
