Taisuke Sawanaga (澤永 泰介) is a supporting character in the *School Days* visual novel series, known as Makoto Itō's high-energy classmate and best friend.

Taisuke is a graduate of Aoi Academy, along with his longtime friends Hikari Kuroda and Yūki Ashikaga.
He maintains a constantly high-spirited and playful demeanor, though his excitable nature often leads him to jump to conclusions.
He is the younger brother of Miki Sawanaga, who previously appeared in *PureMail*. Despite being bossed around by his sister, he is so devoted to her that Makoto bluntly labels him a sis-con.
His home is located near Aoi Station on the Wangan New Line. The household finances are strained, as his father was laid off and his working sister does not contribute her salary.
Unbeknownst to him and never directly revealed in the main story, his biological father is actually Ayumu Inō—Makoto's older half-brother.
This makes Taisuke Makoto's nephew by blood. Through his half-brother Shun, he is also a cousin to Sekai, Setsuna, Roka, and the Nijō sisters.
Though mostly known for *School Days*, Taisuke first appeared much earlier as a background character in *PureMail*, *Sono Ato no PureMail*, and *MISS EACH OTHER*.
He placed third in Overflow's unpopularity poll.
Route-Dependent Characterization
Taisuke's role shifts dramatically depending on the player's choices.
PC Version: In certain routes, he is depicted as a truly vile scoundrel, committing acts such as raping Kotonoha or engaging in swinging with Makoto and others.
Other Routes: In stark contrast, a very few paths show him making Kotonoha promise to properly settle her affairs.
While there is a route where he becomes lovers with Hikari, who has feelings for him, their relationship turns cold in the swinging route. There, Hikari compares his sexual performance to Makoto's and dismisses him as rough, clumsy, and too fixated on Kotonoha.
Expanded and Alternate Content
*Free Distribution Days* revealed that the initial PC concept included an event where Sekai would be placed under his control and forced to serve him. This was later incorporated into the HQ version as a threesome scene, where he and Makoto torment her after he establishes a physical relationship with Sekai.
PS2 Version: Depending on the route, an ending exists where Taisuke fathers children with Sekai, Kotonoha, and Hikari almost simultaneously.
