Zest is one of the main heroines in The Testament of Sister New Devil. She was once Zolgear’s trusted subordinate, but after being betrayed, she is saved by Basara Toujou and becomes his loyal maid. Zest stands out with her dark skin and striking beauty. She forms a close bond with Basara, and her main storyline is shaped by her shift in loyalty and her struggles with acceptance from others.
Zest is a beautiful woman with dark skin and a striking figure, especially known for her large chest, which became even bigger after she was freed from Zolgear’s control. Her charm is enhanced by her distinct looks that set her apart from others.
At first, Zest is formal and distant, addressing Basara Toujou by his full name. Later, she becomes very loyal, calling him “Basara-sama” and caring deeply for him. Because of her past with Zolgear, she often feels out of place and is not always liked by those around her, making her days difficult.
Zest was originally one of Zolgear’s closest subordinates. Zolgear believed that keeping her pure would boost her magical power, so he never touched her. After Zolgear tried to get rid of her, Zest was rescued by Basara Toujou. She then took refuge with the moderate faction and began working as Shella’s maid, growing loyal to both Shella and Basara.
Zest’s main fighting skill is her control over magic, especially earth-based spells. She is known as a “Mana Type” user.
Zest is deeply loyal to Basara Toujou, looking up to him as her master. She also works as a maid for Shella. Through Shella’s help, Zest forms a Master-Servant pact with Basara and becomes devoted to him.
Saved from Betrayal
Zest is first introduced as Zolgear’s faithful subordinate. Zolgear does not touch her, believing her purity enhances her magic power. But he eventually tries to get rid of her when she is no longer useful.
New Loyalty and Role as a Maid
Basara Toujou saves Zest from Zolgear’s betrayal. She finds new hope with the moderate demon faction and starts working as Shella’s maid. However, due to her past as Zolgear’s subordinate, others are wary of her, making her life challenging.
Reunion and Master-Servant Contract
Later, Zest reunites with Basara when he visits the demon realm at Ramusas’s request. Shella helps Zest and Basara make a Master-Servant contract. During this ritual, she shows her devotion and forms a strong connection with Basara.
Living in the Human World
After the events in the demon realm settle, Zest appears in the second season of the anime. She moves with Basara and the others to the human world and lives at the Toujou house. For the first time, she shows herself as a human to others. Zest, using the name Zest B. Stuart, becomes an English teacher at Seigazaka Academy, thanks to Chisato Hasegawa’s help.
Zest handled the remodeling of the Toujou household, making a secret basement. Her most sensitive spot is her ears.
Zest’s first kiss was with Basara Toujou.
