Michiko Tanaka

Michiko Tanaka is the supreme leader of Enormita, the main villain organization in "Gushing over Magical Girls."

She commands overwhelming magical power and is ranked above other executives through the unique mark of four black stars on her forehead.

She leads a campaign known as "magical girl hunting," in which she and the early members of Enormita systematically track down and defeat magical girls across various regions.

After an ideological clash with Venalita, she abandons Enormita and founds a new group, the Road Gang, to pursue immediate and direct world domination.

She believes utterly in the law of the strong devouring the weak and considers herself the only true strong being in the world.

However, it is later revealed that she was merely a disposable pawn, powered up by Venalita to stimulate the growth of Utena Hiiragi and the other magical girls.

Her voice actress is Yoko Hikasa.

Within the story, she ultimately loses to Utena Hiiragi in her form as Magia Baiser and is punished with a spanking before being discarded by Venalita as no longer useful.

Another characteristic trait is her terrible naming sense.

After leaving Enormita, the grand name she chooses for her new world-conquering organization is simply the "Road Gang."

In bonus material, it is revealed that other candidates included the "Exciting Road Group" and the "Sparkling Road Squad," which are equally simplistic and embarrassing.

Even her subordinate Rubeleblume is quietly exasperated by these names, highlighting how out-of-touch Michiko is with how others perceive her.

Four-Star Rank and Magical Power

In Enormita, the combat strength of an executive is expressed by the number of black stars carved on their skin when transformed.

For example, Magia Baiser (Utena Hiiragi) is a two-star executive, with one star at each outer eye corner, and Nera Alice is a three-star executive with three stars across her forehead.

Michiko Tanaka is the only character with four stars, making her the sole four-star executive.

This status reflects her immense, almost inexhaustible magical power and puts her at the very top of the organization’s power scale.

Creation of Monsters

Her primary ability is the creation of monsters from pure magical energy.

Unlike Magia Baiser, who transforms existing objects into monsters, Michiko generates monsters directly from her own magic, with no need for physical raw material.

Thanks to her huge magical reserves, she can create large numbers of monsters and control them simultaneously like a personal army.

This makes her a specialist in large-scale, overwhelming assaults based on sheer quantity and pressure.

As long as she remains active and continues supplying magic, the monsters can keep regenerating or being replenished.

Before the Main Cast Joins

Before the arrival of later Enormita members such as Leopard, Magia Baiser (Utena Hiiragi), and Nera Alice, Michiko is already active as one of the original core members.

She leads the initial group of members on repeated "magical girl hunting" expeditions, cementing her reputation as a terrifying hunter of magical defenders.

Upon returning from one of these hunts, she is introduced to the newly joined trio of Magia Baiser, Leopard, and Nera Alice by Venalita.

After watching their battle performance, she dismisses them with a single word, calling their work "pathetic" and completely lacking in value for true world conquest.

She does not blame only the newcomers.

Michiko also condemns Venalita for allowing such "weaklings" and "useless efforts" under Enormita’s banner, accusing her of being too soft and indecisive.

Splitting from Enormita and Founding the Road Gang

Convinced that Venalita’s careful, long-term strategy is "too lenient" and that waiting is a waste of her power, Michiko stages a defection.

She abandons Enormita, taking three of the original early members with her to form a new, more aggressive organization.

She names this new group the "Road Gang."

Under this banner, she moves from operating in the shadows to launching open, large-scale invasions aimed at immediate world domination.

She regards the three remaining in Enormita—Magia Baiser, Leopard, and Nera Alice—as low-tier, unworthy of her concern.

Even when Locomusica and Rubeleblume are defeated and later defect back to Enormita, Michiko does not consider them worth chasing or punishing, continuing to focus solely on grand conquest.

Final Battle and Downfall

Eventually, Michiko’s path brings her into direct conflict with Magia Baiser and the other magical girls.

Relying on her overwhelming four-star power and endless monster waves, she is certain of victory and treats them as stepping stones.

However, in their decisive clash, she is defeated by Magia Baiser, whose growth and potential far exceed Michiko’s expectations.

As punishment, Michiko is subjected to a humiliating spanking, turning her own obsession with harsh discipline back on her.

After her defeat, the truth of her position is laid bare.

She had not been the pinnacle of natural strength she believed herself to be, but rather a pawn empowered by Venalita specifically to act as a "foil" and catalyst for the magical girls’ development.

With her role fulfilled and no longer necessary, Venalita coldly disposes of her.

The woman who worshipped the survival of the strongest ends up discarded by someone far above her, illustrating the bitter irony at the core of her character.
