She favors vibrant floral patterns, notably peony designs, and always carries a seductive air.

When in disguise, she shifts into various roles, including a modern red suit reminiscent of an office worker or even a nurse outfit.

Her signature transformation involves a red straw doll form, using a red obi string skillfully tied around her neck.

Her true form is a skeleton, and she can turn parts of her body into bone, usually to threaten those about to be sent to Hell.

She is captivating, confident, and playfully flirtatious, particularly adept at charming and manipulating men.

While fiercely loyal to Ai Enma and bold about eliminating anyone who stands in Ai’s way, she remains the most compassionate and emotional of the trio.

She often forms emotional bonds with female clients and shows genuine empathy.

Hone Onna is surprisingly sociable given her supernatural status and sometimes grows too attached to humans.

Despite her ageless existence, she is highly sensitive about her age, easily offended by being called “old” or “auntie.”

In her human life, she was a young servant girl named Tsuyu who worked for a merchant family.

She fell in love with the family’s son, only to be deceived and sold off to a brothel under the pretense of eloping together.

Betrayed again by a courtesan she saw as a younger sister and murdered by the man the courtesan loved, Tsuyu’s body was thrown into a river.

Unable to rest, she transformed into the spirit now known as Hone Onna, haunting people until Ai Enma found her and recruited her as an assistant.

Hone Onna can reveal her skeletal form at will, using it to terrify those sent to Hell.

She can attack by hurling kunai knives enveloped in flames.

Transformation is second nature, allowing her to infiltrate different locations in various guises, especially on Ai’s orders.

Her red straw doll form is directly tied to her role as an agent of Hell Girl.

Her loyalty to Ai Enma is unmatched—she is always quick to defend and protect her leader.

Among Ai’s assistants (Ren Ichimoku and Wanyuudou), she is the most socially adept and the most empathetic towards humans.
